About once a week from now on and as long as she’s still with us, our golden retriever Sheba is going to share one thing she does to live life to the fullest. At times when I’m watching her doing something fun, I get this feeling that she knows that her days in this world are winding down, and she is determined to make the most of them. It never fails to bring a smile to my face!
TIP #11: Cherish Your Family; they are such an important part of your life, and you should always be there for each other.
Sheba says: Every family member is important. Even little brothers who can be bratty at times…..

…..are there beside you to keep you company.
Older sisters who sometimes ignore you…..

…..have got your back when you need them.
Cherish them, because they may not be with you forever.

Remember I said the other day I couldn’t find any photos of the dogs with Samantha? Well, I apparently didn’t look back quite far enough. This photo is from May of 2015. Even though she’s not laying with them, she did like to hang out in the kitchen with them back when we fed her in there!
Sheba says that each family member is an integral part of the unit, even the cats. 🙂
♥The love of family is like no other, and it goes both ways. ♥

Such a wonderful family. That is a good tip Sheba.
Families are the best and yes they have your back! Great life tip
Wonderful sentiments, Sheba-family love is what keeps us going and together and provides most of our happiness!
What a wonderful tip! Sheba, your family loves you so much.
Amen to that beautiful Sheba, we totally agree!
Beautiful post and wonderful photos. Especially love the ones of Sheba sleeping with her sister and bro and the one of her with the whole pack. <3
This is a lovely idea. I can’t wait to read all of Sheba’s life lessons.
Too often we have a tendency to take our own family (two and four legs) for granted. This is a wonderful reminder.
Thanks so much for sharing.
I love your photos but those last two brought tears to my eyes. I’m so happy that Sheba is still enjoying life to the fullest. ♥
Those are words of wisdom Sheba

These are such precious photos, those last two brought tears to my eyes. Just so beautiful.
Awww … these pictures and the sentiments that go with them, are beautiful. Sheba knows what she’s talking about 🙂
this is a beautiful, beautiful post. Sheba you are such a wise woofie!! xoxo
Bratty little brothers. In Shadow’s case, bratty little sisters. But I can’t remember any time that Callie ignored Shadow. They were close from day one – emotionally and physically. Funny, Shadow’s dad gives good ear scratches – and mom the best hugs – too! ???? Our girls are lucky to have such loving families. Great tip, dear Sheba!!
Everyone in the family has a bond. Some are together all the time, some just now and then, but we all care about each other in our own way.
Sheba that was a very wise saying… we should love each other as much as we can every minute we are together… we will regret every bad word or the moments of anger once…. so LOVE is the key even when a family member just dug another hole in the muddy back yard… well technically two, but she only saw one :o)
