At least once a week from now on and as long as she’s still with us, our golden retriever Sheba is going to share one thing she does to live life to the fullest. At times when I’m watching her doing something fun, I get this feeling that she knows that her days in this world are winding down, and she is determined to make the most of them. It never fails to bring a smile to my face!
TIP #4: Indulge your parents in their silliness – it makes them so happy!
Side tip: Go ahead and join in – it’s fun to be silly!

Fabulous–and totally frameable–selfies!
Wonderful, sunny photos and always nice to include the humans! We found that we had very few photos of our Angel Isadora with us in them so we hurried to change that in the last part of her life. I’m so glad I have a few good ones of me with her! 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
I had the same….so many photos of the pets but so few of my hubby and I with them! So we’re working on fixing that, even if it has to be silly selfie photos! 🙂
Good tips and great selfies! Love the one with the sun shining.
Totally LOVE!
Beautiful selfies, love the sun shining in
Great tip, Sheba and such a beautiful Selfie too. We love how you shine in the sunrays 🙂 Pawkisses for a wonderful day 🙂 <3
I thought the sun shot was appropriate since Sheba is our ray of sunshine. 🙂
Sheba, you are such a thoughtful and wise woofie. We are taking each of your tips to heart. We love these photos today…extra special with your humans included. Thank you so much for hopping with us. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Sheba, how nice of you to indulge your humans. 🙂
That’s a really important tip! Thanks Sheba! <3 So many people could use this tip, too! People take life too seriously! It's important to have fun and be silly!
Awww it’s FUN seeing your parents!!! They are awfully good lookin’ parents too!
Aw, you’re too nice, Caren, thank you! 🙂
That’s always a great tip, Sheba!
Wonderful advice Sheba! We will be tuning in from now on for your words of wisdom. You are very wise!
Silly makes my peep smile, and brings out the love in us all. Lovely selfies, Sheba, and a great life tip. Have a wonderful holiday. purrs ERin
Hope you’re having a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
We did, and hope you did as well – thanks for stopping by!
Great tip and perfect selfies!
Silly is one thing Bailie and I have a lot of. Katie was never real silly, even as a pup, she was more serious, but we still tried to get her to be silly occasionally.
Kobi was our serious boy, especially after we lost our Lab mix Maggie. So it was always extra special when we could get him to be just a little bit silly!
That is a great tip and I love the photos 🙂
Great tip, Sheba! Shadow doesn’t like the camera as much as Callie did, but she will occasionally let me take some selfie pix with her. And I need to start taking them with Ducky now that she’s starting to calm down.
Jan, I know how much you treasure those selfies with Sheba. I treasure my few with Callie and the ones I have with Shadow. They really bring out the bond we share with our “Golden Girls”!
Sheba is not always thrilled with the camera – especially the concept of sitting still for it! So that makes these extra special. I have SO many pictures of the dogs, but so few of us with them, so we’re trying to rectify that starting with Sheba. Hopefully my sister will come over at some point and take some more for us (her schedule and ours are totally different so it’s hard to coordinate it).
I think this is my favorite tip yet 🙂
Silliness is always a good thing – Sheba is a wise girl! 🙂
It’s always fun to be silly, good girl Sheba for making your parents happy.
That’s a great tip,xx Speedy
That’s a great tip Sheba and the selfies are wonderful!!
Beautiful pictures of you and your family, Sheba! I can tell how much you all love each other 🙂
great tip… I always do that and you are totally right… it makes them as happy as moles with eagle eyes :o)
