At least once a week from now on and as long as she’s still with us, our golden retriever Sheba is going to share one thing she does to live life to the fullest. At times when I’m watching her doing something fun, I get this feeling that she knows that her days in this world are winding down, and she is determined to make the most of them. It never fails to bring a smile to my face!
Sheba’s Tip #7 for Living Life to the Fullest: Enjoy the Simple Things!
For example: just hanging out on the patio watching your Dadz cook supper.
There is nothing like relaxing and enjoying some fresh air while hanging out with someone you love.
You never know when something simple might lead to something special, like getting a nice chin rub…..
…..and some love from your human. ♥
What simple things does your dog enjoy?
If you’ve missed them, you can find Sheba’s previous tips through the links below.
- Tip 1 – Don’t be afraid to get dirty!
- Tip 2 – FunTime video!
- Tip 3 – How to get a good night’s sleep!
- Tip 4 – Indulge Your Parents!
- Tip 5 – Do what you love!
- Tip 6 – Be just a little naughty!
LOL I would not expect a Golden retriever to be far from a good barbecue!
Sheba has some great tips! Enjoy grill time maybe a morsel will drop
This is one thing I love to do, I’m know as dad’s soux chef! Sweet Sheba, so wise and such great advise from her. Love Dolly
Every Dad enjoys having an assistant when they’re cooking, don’t they? 🙂
Well, and you never know when a burger just might fly off that grill and into your mouth! Right, Sheba? I love Sheba’s tips so much and this is a great one for all of us.
That’s right, you’ve gotta be ready for that possibility! 🙂 We are so glad that you are enjoying Sheba’s tips, Sue. ♥
LOVE!!
Awww that was just the sweetest! I love to kiss Dakota’s face the way your husband did to Sheba
♥♥
And maybe something tasty will fall from the grill, too. 😉
You never know, right? 🙂
Those pictures of Sheba and her daddy made my heart happy. She’s such a sweet girl. Harper Lee and Tallulah like touching each other when they sleep. Actually, I think it’s more that Tallulah likes touching Harper Lee and Harper Lee tolerates it. 😉 And I could just sit and watch them like that–sleeping and touching–forever and ever. I hope I have many, many more years of seeing that. Many thanks to Sheba for the reminder to take the time to realize that the simple things in life really aren’t so simple. They’re actually super important.
You are so right, they are very, very important.
Sheba tends to want her space when she’s sleeping, but at times she will have siblings right up against her….she is probably just like Harper Lee and tolerates it. I could also watch it forever. It fills your heart with so much love and peace. ♥
Sheba’s a smart girl! I love that photo of her getting her chin rubbed, she looks so happy and content. 🙂
Shadow would definitely agree with this one – so would CallieAngel – Sheba! The simple things in life are definitely the best in their minds! And anytime they lead to special moments with Mama or Daddy? Well, let’s face it – it just can’t get any better than that!
We all agree…it definitely cannot get any better than that, for all parties involved. 🙂
Great advice, Sheba! You are one smart (and gorgeous) dog 🙂
Thank you so much, Momma Kat and Bear Cat!! ♥
We do enjoy relaxing with the human

We were pretty much without internet all weekend at camp. It meant in the evenings after everything wrapped up it was just us and the cabin. We did a lot of snuggling, and hanging out. It was nice. Different, but nice.
Sheba is very wise. Everyone should pay attention to this tip!
That is so sweet. We can all learn from Sheba. ♥
