I was happy enough when sharing some photos a couple of weeks ago of Cricket and Luke hanging out together and sharing spaces. They must know how much it pleases us, because they took it to a new level recently with this:
Cricket was lying there first, and we cannot believe that she did not snarl at Luke when he put himself in that position. The funny thing is, if hubby or I had tried to lie that close to her, she would have gotten up and left within 10 seconds! She didn’t stay there for too long, but it was at least a few minutes. Maybe she decided her brother made a nice pillow, since she sometimes snuggles behind a pillow in that same way. Come to think of it, this photo also reminds me of another, shared quite a while ago:

Cricket seems to appreciate the warmth of a larger sibling – but I honestly never thought I’d see her do this with anyone after Sheba. Now that really makes my heart happy.

Awe, she’s getting soft in her older age. Love it!!!
She definitely is, and we love it too!
I’m pretty surprised too about how close Dolly lays sometimes with the cat, like head to butt touching! She isn’t very tolerant of Taffy getting up with her and I though. Crazy dogs! Sandra and Dolly
Dolly definitely wants you all to herself. Luke can be like that too. But apparently it doesn’t work both ways as far as he’s concerned. LOL
I understand the joys involved with siblings getting close. It makes one’s heart happy!
Especially when you have to wait a while for it to happen! ♥
Awwww. How precious! Looks like they are becoming better friends. Sheba trained her how to snuggle and now, she uses her snuggle skills with Luke! I suspect Luke doesn’t have the same need for space.
No, Luke is definitely a snuggler, he snuggles with us all of the time.
So sweet! I always have to pull out the camera when any of mine are snuggling together. It’s not necessarily rare around here, but it just makes me melt. I’m glad that Cricket has found such a nice, warm pillow in Luke!
He’s so snuggly and warm with us…I’m glad Cricket finally got to experience that too. 🙂
Adorable! And sweet comparison, Cricket looks exactly the same position and facial expression in both-so yeah, she must be getting used to that Lukester!!
I think she is (most of the time anyway)! 🙂
So nice to see them together like that.
Looks like their taking their relationship to the next level #teehee
Aaaawwww…Isn’t it wonderful when they snuggle?! I feel the same way when I see Arty and Rosy snuggle!
It can take a long time for the older ones to adjust to a new younger sibling, but it’s so wonderful when they do!
I love seeing Cricket so comfortable with Luke. I think that their bond is growing!
I think you are right, and I love it!!
Oh yea, that’s really a wonderful thing to see indeed!
I can appreciate that photo. Mine rarely touch at all during sleep. And Delilah will be the one to get up. She does not like it when Sampson moves, which he sometimes does in his sleep. Her response is to snark, and then get up.
As we watched this happen, we were waiting for Cricket to snark any minute! We couldn’t believe it when she just stayed snuggled in there!
Awww! That makes my heart happy!
Awww, a pooch burrito! Too cute.
I like this place behind someone … like your Cricket… the best pawsition to clean out the pockets of my humans ;O)))
You’re always thinking, Phenny! 🙂
