I really never expected that this cat would give us so much to laugh about when he reached his senior years, but the things he does, and that the dogs put up with him doing……
Here he makes himself at home on top of Luke’s tail!
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw him washing Cricket the other day. Keep in my mind this cat won’t even groom himself any more!

Very sweet. Curious, but sweet. Some of my cats really enjoyed the dog, but never took to grooming him.
I think this might be a first for us too! I see the other way around far more often….Luke is often seen washing Conrad!

It’s funny you said that! I was going to post that photo on Facebook first, and my hubby said the same thing….no one would be able to tell what was on Luke!

Too funny. I laughed when I saw Luke’s expression. They have a great relationship.
There are other times when Luke kind of harasses Conrad, so I think they have a love-hate relationship really. LOL
What a good kitty grooming his doggy sister. That’s great that they get along.
It’s especially heartwarming for us, because it didn’t always used to be this way. Conrad pretty much avoided the dogs completely, and any people that came to the house either. It’s so great to see him being social.
What would we do without them to make us laugh?

How funny! You have such patient dogs! Barley lets Soth play with her tail (although I’m not entire sure she even notices him pawing at it since her tail often seems like it has a mind of its own) and some times share the love seat with her, but there’s usually at least an inch of space between them. I love the pictures of Conrad with Luke!
Honestly, Conrad is the last cat I ever thought I’d see cuddling with the dogs. I have photos of Sam with the dogs, but I always with some space between like you mentioned.
Sometimes I think that the dogs sense that Conrad is elderly, and maybe a bit senile…LOL. We all love the old guy.
Awww Our Princess Lily is like that, she just loves snuggling with our GSD Booth, they are best buddies. Just makes you smile~

What patient dogs you have there! Veruca and Ava keep the cats awa. I think the dogs are scared of the cats in our house.
I think most dogs have a healthy respect for cats. We have had incidences where one of the cats was sitting on the stairs, and the dogs would be whining because they were afraid to pass! Probably something to do with those claws… 🙂

Ah, yes, there’s a factor I never considered…..woofies are pretty warm, and Conrad certainly loves that!

What a silly kitty! But at least he gets along with everybody…and obviously the dogs accept him and his antics with love.
They do…it just amazes me what they’ll put up with! I think there is an understanding on some level, that Conrad is old and not altogether there. 🙂

My cat bro Bert loves us dogs. He is getting more and more snuggly with us too. I guess some cats love their dogs. Sophie does not.
Interesting. Samantha doesn’t snuggle with the dogs either. She used to play with Luke when he was a pup but now that he’s big she mostly avoids him.
Awww……we seniors can have fun too and usually everyone lets us just do what we want because we’re old enough that we should be able to!! Cute pictures….
