Welcome to the Tuesday’s Tails Blog hop, hosted by Dogs N Pawz! “This blog hop features shelter animals. Find a cat, dog, rabbit or other animal at a local shelter or rescue and feature them on this blog hop! Come join the fun and help a furry friend find a forever home. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to visit the other blogs and share their animals that need forever homes on your social media sites. Please spread the word!”
First of all for the updates: Moe and Larry, the two cats I featured last month have been adopted – they went to a new home together!
Bosley, the Pit Bull I featured in October, is no longer listed, so I have to assume he has also been adopted!
However, Hester (Beagle/Dachshund mix) and Hefty (an Anatolian Shepherd) are still looking for homes.
Today I am featuring an adoptable dog from the same rescue who we are getting our new puppy Luke from. If anyone is looking for a puppy, many of Luke’s littermates are up for adoption, as well as another whole litter of GSD mixes (click here for Petfinder). Between these two litters, there are 22 puppies, which calls for a reminder to spay/neuter your pets!
**UPDATE 7-28-14: HALLIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! ALL OF LUKE’S SIBLINGS AND THE OTHER PUPPIES HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!!**
Hallie is an adult female Labrador Retriever. Her story is unknown since she was picked up as a stray. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs and gets along great with everyone.
She has a playful personality and would fit right into an active household. She is sweet and affectionate.

Other details about Hallie:
- Estimated to be 3-4 years old.
- Current weight 35 pounds, but is in the process of gaining hopefully 10-15 pounds.
- Spayed.
- Heartworm negative.
- Up to date on shots.
Hallie’s adoption fee is $400 but this includes microchip, deworming, health certificate, quarantine and transport; as well as 30 days free health insurance. You can visit her Petfinder page here.
Peace & Paws Rescue is based in Hillsborough, NH. They are an all volunteer, foster based rescue, and are currently in the process of building a shelter. They have adopted more than 2.000 dogs and also own Rescue Riders Transport. You can also visit and follow them on Facebook.
She is cute and I hope she finds a home, but $400? My pet peeve is high adoption fees. 🙂 I agree with Emma. I don’t see lab.
There’s definitely something more than Lab in there! I hear you on the adoption fees…but that seems to be pretty average for my area for rescues. I saw one place whose fees were over $600!!!
You’ve got such a gorgeous smile Hallie,
I’ve got my paws crossed you find your forever home really soon,
Wags to all,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
Thanks, Snoopy, we are all pulling for her!
She is beautiful, hope she get a home soon.
I hope so too!
She is precious! Sharing.
I know, she’s such a cutie, I love her colors. Thanks for sharing!
Hallie is a beautiful girl! I hope she finds her forever home soon. Sharing 🙂
Thank you, Laura!
Hallie looks like a fun pup with a lot of personality! And so glad to hear about the kitties going to a home together!
She does look fun, I think she’d be a great addition to any home. I’m so glad about the kitties too! There were some photos on Facebook and their new Dad looked so happy!
Did my comment go through?
Yes, I can see it, can you not see it now?
Hallie looks like a little clown who would be a constant source of entertainment for some active family, I hope the high adoption fee doesn’t scare off people.
She does look like a fun girl, doesn’t she? I hope the fee isn’t too high. I thought it was kind of average for a rescue, but I’m just judging by what I’ve seen in my area.
She is beautiful but doesn’t look much like a lab, looks more like a Bernese Mountain Dog mix.
I totally agree, Emma. She is more of a lab size, so she’s probably a mix of at least those two breeds.
