On this last FitDog Friday I mentioned that Luke likes to do “zoomies” in the evenings, when his sisters have had enough for the day. I was finally able to get a little video of it. Luke had just finished running around with his Jolly Ball, which he had trouble hanging onto since he has chewed half the handle off! So he tried to entertain himself otherwise. He says he was just having fun and burning off some energy, his sisters say he’s just a brat. The video is short, only a minute and a half, even though Luke can often zoom around longer than that!
What do you think, just having fun, or being a “Bratty Little Brother”?
We are joining the Monday Mischief blog hop. Thank you to our hosts: My Brown Newfies, Alfie’s Blog, and Snoopy’s Dog Blog . Please visit other blogs through the links below for more mischief fun!
Looks like he is having a blast!
He’s having fun! How can they resist joining in?
I know – even I like to get out there running with him sometimes! 🙂
Hi Y’all!
Even if I’m an old dog, I’m still a fan of zoomies!
I couldn’t let 8 photos of happiness slip by without nominating you! Rules are simple. 8 photos of happiness and nominate some other blogs and thank Ariel’s little corner of the internet for creating this event.
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
I wish our old girls would try some zoomies, they’ve probably forgotten how fun it is!
I’ll be putting up my 8 photos of happiness on Sunday (that’s the plan right now anyway. 🙂 )
That was great! I love how the other 2 gave him the what the what by rolling their eyes at Luke ;). I see that happen here at times between Huckle and Trot and it always makes me laugh: one is sooo very active and the other is soooo very not!
The girls have their moments of energy and wanting to play, but nothing like what Luke has. Plus they are so much more focused on playing fetch than just running around for the sheer joy of it like Luke does! 🙂
Poor Luke, all that energy. If we could only bottle it and sell it. I think his sisters are just being mean to him.
We do call them the “crabby old ladies” sometimes, for a reason! 🙂
I can certainly use some of that energy myself!
So cute! Love how the girls are all, “OMD, Luke, you are SO annoying!” And Luke looks like he’s having a great time, whether they join in or not.
I don’t think he cares if they do or not….annoying them is half the fun!
OMD, Honey would love to chase Luke. She loves zoomies too. 🙂
Sheba will chase him sometimes, but only in short spurts. I don’t think either of the girls have ever run like that, unless it was after a ball!
I know all about bratty brothers. ~Wally
Oh Luke, when will you learn…never right? But they know how to shut him down don’t they? Love it.
Silly little boy, we love zoomies too!

I also vote both. Mr. N really enjoys being the only dog!
I love it! 🙂 also love Sheba’s “bug off” face and Cricket’s “not now” bark!
Surely not bratty! We vote for just having fun!
Luke? Bratty? Never! He’s just doing his thing.
Awww, poor Luke. Cricket and Sheba want nothing to do with those shenanigans!
The girls don’t often run with him, but they will play at times…just not every time he wants to!
Kilo’s happy to be an only fur-child LOL
I love the video of Luke, that was awesome! He’s got great energy, not a brat at all! 🙂
LOL omg, Luke reminds me SO much of Koda!!!!! Great video!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Face it, Luke. They just aren’t that into you! Poor guy, he just wants to have fun.♥ Pierre would run with him all day long.
Now Luke is wishing he had a brother like Pierre….they would have some fun!
Whooa! Zoomies rock
Lily & Edward
Bailie tries to get me to play. Sometimes I do, other times I’m really good at ignoring all the antics until she gives up. I prefer to say pesty younger sibling rather than bratty.
Pesty is definitely a nicer word than bratty! The girls do have their times when they will play as well, but Cricket especially wants it to be HER idea, not his! 🙂
Luke is just like Forrest when he gets the rats on as we say..and Doc does the same thing as the girls hahahahha my goodness that knee is super fab now…awesome..i have missed so much but what a treat to see a happy healthy pup being a dingbat 🙂 Go Luke…and yes Brat 😉 loves BEV XXX
The boys can be silly, but that’s what makes them so special, right?! His knee has been great, and we just love to see him running and enjoying himself. Paws crossed it lasts! xxoo
I bet it will..Doc has had his knee done now for about 7 years i think 🙂 xx
Go Luke! I do zoomies to in the evening I wish I had that much room to run! Mom thought I’d be good at agility too because I’d walk on walls, jump puddles, but its different in the ring where they have to do it on command, trust us. Love Dolly
I can imagine that’s true, Dolly, because some evenings I try to get Luke to do his zoomies, or play with a toy, and he has no interest! You dogs definitely prefer things on your own terms. 🙂
girls… sigh… they have no sense for little brothers, right? Luke I think you would be a great agility dog… you can jump like a Mr. Wilson, I bet that would be the best sports for you… but you can’t eat the handles of the equipment, think that’s not compawtible with the rules :o)
Being the mom of a bratty little sister, I have to say Luke is — as Daisy said — a little of both but sweet either way. And he’s probably the best thing to happen to his big sisters – he keeps them active and young at heart. Just like Ducky does for Callie and Shadow. 🙂
Oh, they definitely are the best thing to happen to their older siblings, aren’t they? Because even if the girls won’t play all the time, he gets them moving more than they were before he came along!
Too cute. I would have to vote both.
Maybe a little of both? 😉 He’s a sweet boy either way! 😀
