Welcome to the Tuesday’s Tails Blog hop, hosted by Dogs N Pawz! “This blog hop features shelter animals. Find a cat, dog, rabbit or other animal at a local shelter or rescue and feature them on this blog hop! Come join the fun and help a furry friend find a forever home. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to visit the other blogs and share their animals that need forever homes on your social media sites. Please spread the word!”
As always, good news and updates first! I shared Hallie back in December, and her adoption is currently pending. In January, I shared four pets from Best Friends Animal Society, and so far one of the dogs, Poncho, has been adopted, but the other three are still available.
My original plan for this post was to share our Luke’s mother, Dolly, who is up for adoption. However, as it turns out, her adoption is already pending! So that is great news and now I needed another plan!
When on Facebook the other day, I saw a post from a great website called The Lazy Pit Bull. The title was “4 Reasons You Should Adopt a Pit Bull“. So I decided to share those reasons with you, and then share an adoptable pit bull (as it turns out, 2).
- “Pit Bull-type dogs are highly intelligent and very trainable.”
- “Pit Bulls are extremely affectionate and loving.”
- “Pit Bulls are very low maintenance.”
- “Pit bull-type dogs make up the majority of dogs in US shelters, and they’re the most highly euthanized.”
Please click here to read the full article by Christina Berry for more details and great information. There’s a very cute puppy photo on there also!

Today I am sharing a brother and sister pair of Pit Bulls who are at the North Country SPCA in Essex County, New York. Angel (male)and Honey Boo Boo (female) are purebred Pit Bulls who were under socialized and fearful. The shelter has trainers working with them and they are coming out of their shells and showing their happy and goofy personalities. Honey adores attention and they are both becoming sweet and loving as they are treated kindly and gently. The shelter has high hopes that with time and patience they both have the potential to become great dogs.
**HAPPY UPDATE – BOTH ANGEL & HONEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!!**
Details:
- Adult/Medium
- Spayed/Neutered
- Up to date on shots
- Not quite 2 years old
About North Country SPCA: They are a no kill shelter located in Elizabethtown, New York. Their mission is to provide refuge for cats and dogs who have been abandoned, abused, or surrendered. They provide individual attention, medical treatment, and care until homes can be found. You can visit them on their website or Facebook page.
Please share Honey Boo Boo and her brother Angel to help find them a loving home where they can grow into the happy dogs they are meant to be. Visit the other blog hop participants below and share their adoptable pets also!
Hope they find a good home!
Me too!!
i sure hope they get to go home really soon, they have such sweet faces!
Thanks, Brian, I hope so too!
LOL to the name honey boo boo
Yeah, I think I’d be changing it, or at least shortening it to just “Honey”!
Oh, sweet babies. Hope they find their furever homes soon. We have a pit that looks a lot like Angel at the shelter where I volunteer right now. Hoping for good things for her too!
Fingers crossed for all of them!!
Hope they find a home, sharing.
Thank you so much for sharing!
They are both beautiful! So glad Luke’s mom is being adopted! That is great! Off to share these gorgeous Pitties and hope they are adopted soon.
We were so happy about Luke’s Mom too. Thanks for sharing these two beauties!
What sweet faces…and with sweet names to match. Hope they both find a home!
Angel and Honey….those are such sweet names, aren’t they?
They are both precious but I love the look on Angel’s face. I hope that someone close won’t be able to resist!!
Who could not fall in love with those sweet faces?
What a cute pair they are! I hope they find a home soon!
Me too….and maybe they could even find a home together!
I love Pit Bulls, they are banned in the UK, so sad. It’s the owners NOT the dog . Hugs to Mom xxoxxx
Mollie and Alfie
That is so sad, and so true. Thx for the much needed hugs! 🙂 xxxooo
They are both just darling!
I hope everyone thinks that so they find a home quickly! 🙂
Thank you for sharing my post with your readers! I hope more people will see that a Pit Bull-type dog could be perfect for their family. They really are amazing, loyal, loving animals.
You are very welcome. It was a great post and I am happy to share what great dogs they are!
We sure hope these two cuties find their forever homes! Our Coco is a lab/pitbull mix and we can’t imagine our lives without her!
Your Coco is so adorable, and a perfect example of what great dogs they can be! Thanks for coming by!
Those faces! What beautiful pibbles. Sharing.
They are beautiful, aren’t they? Thank you for sharing, Sue.
Good reasons to adopt this great breed that has been so misunderstood and abused for so many years.
I hope someday the stigma will go away. Of course, if it does, it will probably just mean they’ve moved on to some other breed to pick on. 🙁
Oh they are such beautiful pup! PitBulls are one of my fav breeds. I go to the lazy Pitbull blog quite often!
I wish the best of luck to the pups in need!!!
and a P.S. I left this message in your about me also I think, but just letting you know I presented you with an award today on my blog, if you get a chance to come by 🙂
