Last week we shared a photo with Cricket expressing her #Beagletude. She was not happy with how long the photographer (me) was taking with the photos of them staring at a treat from last month’s Pet Treater box.
We didn’t tell you the whole story. In this next photo Cricket has gone back to her sweet beagle begging look. Sheba is of course just her usual happy self. You can see some other paws off to the left.
It was not just the girls waiting for that treat.
Below I was trying to capture the treat itself in the photo, but someone was even less patient than Cricket was.
As I tried to re-focus on the treat, Luke jumped up and grabbed it right out of my hand, and ran into the kitchen with it, already crunching away! At least Cricket’s annoyance could now be directed at her brother instead of me. I quickly followed him and even though he would not drop the whole treat, he did drop part of it, so the girls were able to each get a bite. Then I gave both of them another treat from the cabinet (Luke did not get another one!).
Luke is pretty good at “leave it” most of the time, but he is, after all, not even 3 years old yet, and there might be another reason for this occasional type of #Brattitude.
You see, lest you feel really sorry for those girls; I will share this quote from a different Pet Treater review, that Luke wrote back in February: “Naturally Healthy Dog Biscuits from Carolina Biscuit Co. ………were a big hit. In fact, Cricket rudely stole one right out of Momz’ hand! Then, Sheba tried to do the same! I almost didn’t get one but Momz took it right out of Sheba’s mouth!”
Luke learns from his big sisters, and unfortunately it’s often their bad habits that he picks up on! Perhaps that’s why Sheba was laughing in the below photo, she knew exactly what was coming!
I have learned over the years that dogs pick up bad habits from each other a lot more often than they do good ones. But I don’t really mind. I’ve loved all my “fur-babies” for the individuals they have been and are, bad habits and good ones alike, even when the bad habits have driven me to the edge of my breaking point.
Oh this made me laugh. It is so Delilah. The other day Hubby shouted at her, “Did I offer that to you?” LOL she had licked his plate when he put it too close to her. You have to admire their moxie though.
I know, it’s so hard to be mad at them, isn’t it? 🙂
I guess the treat was a hit…lol.
Looks like Cricket don’t really love photography, like my puppies. They are just new-born babies and I want to take some photos of them to add in my album. But their mom – Daisy – she don’t want me to do this. Btw, your pics are really cute!
Thank you, Monica! Puppies are definitely the most difficult to photograph, especially once they get moving around more!
Those are such cute photos. I can’t tell you how many times a treat has been snatched from my hands during a long photo shoot! BOL!
I’m glad to hear it’s not just my dogs that are impatient! 🙂
Hahaha! It sounds like Luke was making sure he got what was owed to him! Great pictures!
Cricket your so damn cute!! gotta have a bratattitude every now and then!
Hahahahaha. Siblings!
Those treats must be really good for them to be stolen right out of your hand.
LOL! This all looks very familiar. Only our brattitude pet is our cat Rosie. She has been known to grab dog treats that are meant for Ruby (our dog) right out of my hands.
That is too funny! Our cat Samantha would steal dog treats off the kitchen counter…but she’s never gone quite that far!
I’m not a big fan of treats myself, but I don’t think I could resist those sweet faces!
Ha! I guessed that Luke Sky-jumper will grab the treat :O) I wonder why dogs learn only the bad things from other dogs… while my smart idea Easy could learn from an older dog to walk on a leash ended as an epic fail. They both turned into sled dogs… how can that happen?
