We’ve been receiving the Pet Treater dog subscription box and writing a review for quite a few months now. In the past, I’ve tended to become discontent with subscription boxes and we’ll move on to a different one. I wanted to ask Luke what he thought, since he’s our Pet Treater spokesdog.
“Luke, what do you think? When the next Pet Treater box comes, should we just “Return to Sender”?”
Luke’s reply was: “Momz, “Don’t Be Cruel”! I’ve said it before; Pet Treater gets me.”
Luke is right, they always send toys and treats that Luke and his sisters love, and we are not bored with this box. Luke is excited every month to see the colorful box stuffed with goodies. Plus they include something for me too, and I love that! Each month has a fun theme and you may have guessed by now that September’s theme was: “Ain’t Nothin’ But a Hound Dog”.

Luke always gets to make the first selection of the toys – there are at least two every month! This time he chose the “Blue Suede Shoe”* from the Elvis Presley Pet Collection first.
However, Luke also “Can’t Help Falling in Love” with this MultiPet Hippo toy* and that quickly became his favorite. The grunting is irresistible to him, and hysterical to us. We’ve had some other toys from MultiPet, and they are always a hit. I can’t tell you that they live especially long around here, but truthfully that is the fate of most toys! Both toys were a hit.
Our beagle Cricket, of course, was more interested in the goodies that came, so I had to split up the fun guitar-shaped Carob Peanut Butter Crunch cookie from Emmy’s Gourmet Canine Creations (I love the healthy natural ingredients in these treats!), and also included were some S’mores flavored sandwich cremes from Exclusively dog cookies*. We have birthdays coming up next month, and I think they’ll be getting some Puppy Cake cheesecake* from the grain-free mix received. Don’t tell the Dadz, because I never make cheesecake for him!

Also included this month was a furimals warming and cooling pet mat*. You can heat up or cool down the pack inside the fuzzy cover. It’s small, but I think it might work for Cricket set inside one of her other beds. It might feel good to her on her poor arthritic knees so we’ll be giving that a try. The trick with a beagle like her is getting her to actually lie down where you want her to though! She doesn’t like being instructed where to go. 🙂
One great thing about subscription boxes – if something doesn’t suit us, we can give it away to family, friends, or blog readers, or our local shelter as well! My sister, a huge Elvis fan, might be coveting the Elvis Lives candle that was the human gift this month. Then again, she subscribes to Pet Treater, so maybe she got one of her own!
We will be continuing to enjoy Pet Treater for some time to come! What do you think about that, Luke?
Luke: “Thank you, thank you very much.”
And we can’t resist one more: Luke has left the building.
Have you tried Pet Treater yet?

That looks like a fun box!
Nothing like a box full of goodies coming right to your door. The Boys used to receive one every month, then I stopped – not sure why – buy looking at this one, I think we just might have to start back again!
Looks like a nice box of goodness.
I think I’m going to have to check out Pet Treater for Shadow’s birthday – and CallieAngel’s half-year birthday – next month. And whatever toys she doesn’t like will be late Gotcha Day gifts for Ducky. I hope it’s not too late! Shadow’s birthday is October 16th, nine days before your sweet Sheba’s birthday if I remember correctly.
Yes, you do remember correctly about Sheba’s birthday, Sue! I’m starting to get my hopes up that she will still be here for it. She is still doing so well right now, though I know that could change at any minute. But why not be hopeful?
Cute theme! It looks like these items were all big hits with your crew 🙂
Haha, yes I did. This month’s box was especially fun with all the references to my favorite guy, Elvis. You did real well on the song references. The dogs all love the blue suede shoe and so far it is holding up real well. The hippo is so funny. Their dad made the cheesecake for them the next day in muffin tins. A special treat for sure!
Aw, their Dad is so good – I’m not at all surprised that he didn’t waste any time making that for them! I think I might make it in muffin tins too, that sounded easier.
This was too fun, Jan-so clever you are, oh my, on all the Elvis song references-this was great fun to read! And of course we are an Elvis loving family really overall, Karen of course being the tops (and Aunt Jean and Mom, are the ones that come to mind next!). So fun seeing the puppies enjoying everything-I liked the cheesecake comment too! Again, nice job on the Elvis songs-oh, and indeed Karen should have the candle, but probably got her own!
Thanks, Lynn, glad you enjoyed it! Yup, Karen did get her own candle!
hahaha. Love all the Elvis-isms. I’ve never done one ot those boxes. Rita doesn’t destroy her toys usually, so they last for ages and she doesn’t need new ones often. And she’s so flipping picky about her treats that I don’t want to leave what we get to chance. (She will literally spit a treat back at us if she doesn’t like it! Beast!)
Ha, Rita is the total opposite of this crew! The only toys that survive are ones they don’t really like; and they never met a treat they didn’t like!
What a great box of goodies! Enjoy them.
We have seen all your boxes and they certainly do seem to have a lot to offer in each one.
Geez that Luke makes out big time! I bet those toys didn’t last long either. Love Dolly
Believe it or not, both toys are still going! The shoe does have a hole in it though, so it’s on it’s way out first…LOL.
That is a box that we would love to receive! What fun stuff this month.
oooh the shoe looks like something for me hahahaha… Luke you are the lu(c)kiest guy ever!!!
