I found this photo of Cricket and Kobi when looking for photos for a post recently, and it struck me how different the two of them were. Kobi was laid back, easygoing, scared of nothing. He loved everyone he met. Cricket is high energy, high strung, and often shy and fearful. Kobi never had any interest in playing fetch or going in the water, and Cricket is obsessed with her ball, and loves the water. They do/did have the same beagle colors (tri-colored), and of course, being beagles are/were driven by their noses and the desire for food and treats. Kobi would eat pretty much anything, fruit or vegetable, but Cricket is finicky and will eat very few fruits or vegetables.

One thing they both loved equally was a good walk, and they went on lots of them together. I’m sure Cricket is going to miss those walks with her beagle brother as much as I will. Hopefully she will be able to carry on the tradition with her other siblings, and her beagle cousins, this spring!

Mollie and Alfie
Our experience has been that the boy dogs are far more laid back than you girls! 🙂
Oh sooo cute of cricket and koby! Love it. 🙂
Thanks, Ruckus, and for having the hop, as always!
You two look great in any color…or not!
Thanks, Brian!! 🙂
I am so sorry Jan. I did not know about Kobi. I hope that Cricket will continue to love her walks. My Shelties are the same way. So different from one another and yet look similar in coloring. Beautiful photos. So glad you have them.
Thank you very much, Mel. One great thing about having the blog is that I take a lot more photos than I used to, and I’ll always have them to look back at on here.
thank you for sharing these glorious photos!
And thank you for coming by to see them, Caren!!
Beagle cousins! Sounds like fun 🙂 Great pictures and memories of both of them too by the way.
Thank you, Ann. Cricket has two beagle cousins actually, my sister and her hubby were inspired to get beagles because of our Kobi!
Those are great photos to bring back such happy memories of Kobi. Have a wonderful Saturday.Bark More, Growl Less Barking from the Bayou!
Thank you so much, Melissa.
Those photos are so lovely in Sepia. Isn’t it funny how each dog has it’s own personality even if from the same breed. Even from the same litter they are all so different.
I love using the sepia for the memory photos. It’s so true that their personalities can be so different, even from the same litter.
awww so nice to see that photo.
It’s so great to have happy memories to remember.
Love the look in sepia as well.
have yourself a good weekend!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Thank you, Jenna. It is great to have those memories, and lots of photos too!
Great photos and memories. The Beagles look great in Sepia.
Thanks, Emma, I think so too!
Ying and Yang! It is great that they are their own individuals.
We never had purebreds before Kobi, so I just expected when we got a 2nd beagle, that they would be more similar. Not the case!
They look good in the sepia tones! 🙂
Thanks! I think there is just something in the beagles coloring that makes them look good in sepia.
