Last week I gave you a little preview of what we’d been up to for our 3 weeks of Summer K9 Kamp. Today we gather around the Kampfire with our hosts, SlimDoggy, The Writer’s Dog , and To Dog With Love to share stories of our Backyard Fun & Fitness Games.
Here’s a review in pictures of what I showed last week:

We had fun in the agility tunnel:
In addition, we also played some games with our agility cones. It was a version of hide and seek where I put treats and toys on top of the cones, and then hid them underneath as well later. I spread the cones throughout the yard so the dogs would have to run to each of them to make the finds.
Then Luke added his own twist to the game:
They all had fun with it, but the girls got distracted too much by the balls. Cricket was actually more interested in the balls than the treats, if you can believe that of a beagle!
Luke really enjoyed these games the most, and he found almost all of the treats!
I also told you last week about how we won the huge K9 Kamp giveaway. We have started to receive some of our prizes! Look at this awesome Drinkwell stoneware pagoda fountain (donated by Petsafe)! We just set it up and Luke is already drinking out of it. I’m sure the others will as well. It has to be plugged in so we have to relocate the water and it might take them a little longer. Luke is such a nut about water he tried it right off. It keeps the water fresh and aerated.
I also received this beautiful pendant from For Love of a Dog jewelry. I already own some jewelry from Sue so I knew how high quality and gorgeous it was going to be.
We will also be receiving a dog bandana (donated by Collarific Dog Bandanas), a Kyjen dog agility obstacle course starter kit (donated by Petco), K9FITbone balance gear (donated by DogTread), 1 pkg 100% natural Omega dog treats (donated by SmartCookee), 7 inch center bone (donated by Jones Chews), and a K9FITvest weighted vest (donated by DogTread). Wow, right? I’ll be sharing all of these things in the future, because I know we will be having a lot more Backyard Fitness Fun with all of it!

We do really enjoy the yard…fencing it in is one of the best things we ever did for the dogs, it makes the perfect playground!
Only the beagle named Cricket would be more interested in the balls than the treats, not so surprising with her!!!!! 🙂

They sure did! We really lucked out with the pool…friends of ours were given it by someone moving, and they already had one. We loved theirs and I had been looking for one just like it! Before that we had the typical plastic kiddie pools, and this is much easier because it has a plug to drain it.
It looks like y’all had a blast at K9 Kamp! Congratulations on all of your goodies. Sue makes the most beautiful jewelry. I won a pair of her earrings and love them. Give Luke a kiss for being awesome in the games! ☺

I was excited that red was one of the colors, because our other water dish is red. I keep waiting for Sam to try the bowl. She loves to drink out of the faucet so I’m hoping she will love this too once she tries it.

That fountain is so awesome, we would love one of those! Can you imagine if you guys and me and my sisters got together? I think we would kill a backyard with all our chase games and stuff. So fun to see other pups racing in the yard like we do and also having a nice little pool.
Our backyards would never be the same if we got all of you together! But boy would you all have lots of fun.
I never even knew that fountain existed, so we were pretty excited when we saw it.
