What is Luke looking so hopeful about here?
We got a special package in the mail recently!

Apparently Luke thinks service is slow around here, so he needs to take this into his own paws, or teeth, as it were.

Luke and his sisters send out a huge THANK YOU to our friends at Barking from the Bayou, along with Dr. Harvey’s, for this bag of Oracle, which we were excited to win in a recent giveaway! This is a complete dog food with freeze-dried raw fish, made in the USA with fresh, healthy, whole foods. All you do is add hot water to re-hydrate it and then serve after 15 minutes. No, we haven’t made the switch to raw food, but we like to try lots of different things as toppers to the crews’ regular kibble, and we believe Dr. Harvey’s makes a quality food.
Oh, and by the way, yes, they love it!
Have your dogs ever tried Dr. Harvey’s, or any other freeze-dried raw foods?
Thank you to BlogPaws for hosting the Wordless Wednesday blog hop. Please visit other blogs through the links below!
Looks like he is going to enjoy it
Not a raw-food house. But hey, if you want to try it, I would think freeze-dried is the way to go.
It’s the only way we’ll try it at this point! I believe that it’s healthy for dogs, but don’t see myself handling all that raw meat. Doing it right sounds like WAY too much work for me. LOL
I have a feeling that wasn’t in Luke’s bowl very long! Cracks me up the way the dogs get so excited about dinner time and then it’s over in less than three minutes. 😉
You are correct…it was not. It kind of reminds me of myself eating a donut or some special sweet pastry. It’s gone before I know it and I wish I had more. I wonder if dogs feel that way too? Where did it go – why didn’t I savor it more? LOL
It sounds great but mom doesn’t like to change our food, too bad for me! Love Dolly
Sometimes it is best to stick with what you know works, so I don’t blame your Mom for that!
I am so glad that your gang loved the Oracle. It is a life-saver when we travel or if I am in a hurry. I ♥ Dr. Harvey’s.
Thanks again Melissa, they really do enjoy it and it gives us a nice change from making our own, or topping their kibble with canned food.
Oh, I bet Luke really did love that! We’ve tried a few freeze dried raw items too but haven’t made the switch yet either. Haley would absolutely love these, since anything with fish makes her drool!
Oh, yes, he loved it, and his sisters did too. This crew is crazy about fish too!
I get the same look at meal time. 🙂
We’re cats and we eat freeze dried raw food. And we love it! So does the mom because she can feed us raw without having to go through a lot of trouble. We’re glad you guys liked the Dr. Harvey’s.
You guys are so lucky! I should probably try some freeze dried raw for Samantha too. But she’s so fussy I’m always hesitant to try anything new with her.
What a great giveaway to win! We also feed the dogs a raw diet so we’re big fans and have noticed a huge difference in their overall health. Freeze dried fish sounds awesome!
I admire anyone who takes the plunge to raw! I’m just not quite there yet; and this may be as far as we ever get.
Score for Luke! Good job, buddy! Enjoy!!
Luke is a real go-getter! 🙂
Yummy, Luke is in for a treat!! We started our journey to raw food with Dr. Harvey’s freeze-dried Veg-to-Bowl, and the pups loved, loved, loved it. We didn’t try Oracle back then, but it sure sounds good. I particularly like the fact that one of the ingredients is freeze-dried raw fish! Pawsome 🙂
I’m not sure we’ll ever make it all the way to raw, but this sure seems like a great way to try some!
wow Luke dig in and leave not only one morsel behind… that sounds super tasty!
Trust me, nothing is left behind when Luke leaves his bowl….it is thoroughly licked clean! 🙂
We are dabbling in a switch to raw, but not the kind where Mom is always cooking. We are looking more at freeze dried options like this one. It is good stuff!
We’re with you. Doing a completely homemade raw meal sounds like way too much work for me. I believe it is healthy, but I just don’t see myself ever going that far.
