Mother Nature seems to be especially moody this spring. On Sunday, I was happily planting early vegetable seeds in the garden, with a little “help” from some of the hens.
Monday morning, we woke up to this:
It’s almost May, for Pete’s sake! Luke might look gleeful about the snow in that photo, but he was really just excited to run out and look for his deer friends. When he sees me looking outside, he thinks they might be out there!
The deer were too smart for that, I’m sure they were hunkered down somewhere waiting for the snow to stop. Like the rest of us! Luke sadly got no walk that morning; my snow boots are already put away, but mostly I just wasn’t feeling it! If it wasn’t for having to care for the birds, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have put one foot outside until that white stuff was gone.
Luke gave us a good shot for #TongueOutTuesday on our last nice walk though!
We’ll just say Happy #TongueOutTuesday and leave it at that! 🙂

At one point I had to kick them out, since they were walking down the rows and I was afraid they were going to eat the seeds I was putting out! LOL
I don’t feel it either by the time it snows in May (or even June). It makes spring days all the sweeter, though!
We are at least having some of those sweet days this weekend! 🙂

Yeah, I’d say it was about 6 inches. You didn’t get that at your house? I bet Karen did though!
Well, at least the rain we had and are getting more of shortly does not need to be shoveled…hope its all melted by now.
Mostly….but it took a good two days to do so, and we’ve still got some patches here and there!

We think you are right, thank you!! Maybe by the weekend, though we did at least get one warmer day yesterday. Today it’s at least back to rain instead of snow, but it’s pretty windy and chilly.

Ugh! That snow needs to go! We’re actually having some nice weather the last couple of days…though tomorrow it’s supposed to rain. Better than snow!

Wow, that’s kind of like it was here. Mother Nature needs hormone treatments at this point. ASAP! Stay warm; hopefully spring will return soon.

Oh my, that’s a lot of snow. It’s finally warm here. If Luke wants some warm weather he’s most welcome here. Just saying.

It’s probably almost gone after a day or two. Our snow is probably done, but we know until early May there is always a chance. This time of year we feel it is a waste of good snow because it won’t last.
It did actually last for at least another day, you would have been happy about that! It lasted longer than I thought it would for this time of year; but it didn’t really warm up much until yesterday.
We had raw dreary rain yesterday – nothing as exciting as snow. Happy Tuesday!
