The Dadz and I held down the farm so that the Momz could have a short getaway last week! The Momz works hard at all her jobs (she has about a bazillion different part-time jobs, I think, but she LOVES being self-employed), and never really has a day off (still worth it!!). She loves Maine and the ocean and tries to go at least once every summer. She and her sisters and girlfriends spent one night at a nice resort in Kennebunkport this time.

Momz had to visit one of her favorite Maine stores, June Bug’s Beach House, and that was where she planned to get me this nice coastal-themed bandana and a new toy. She says if you are ever in Ogunquit or Kennebunkport, you need to visit this store (there is one in each town). They have lots of stuff for dogs, and lots of ocean-themed household décor as well!

I’m having so much fun with my “lobstah” (that’s how they say it in Maine, you know), and me and Dadz had a good time being bachelors and taking care of the farm while Momz was gone. Dadz even took me for a walk!

Momz says it’s always good to be home to us and the farm, though the short break was very nice too! I am just pleased she always brings me something special home too, and of course I am very excited to see her when she gets back. ♥

Oh how fun and so pretty!! Love da new bandana and dat it is reversible. Mom loves a good multi-seasonal fashion statement 🙂
Our Mama’s Daddy was in da Navy and when him used to go to Maine he would bring back live Lobsters. Mama used to take them out of the drawer in the fridge and name them all as they walked around the kitchen and then be sad when they got cooked. Now if they have live lobsters at a restaurant in a tank her can not eat that fur dinner cause her is cray cray and gets too attached that fast 😉 BOL MOL

Aw, that’s a great story about your Mom!! She is sweet. I used to be able to eat lobster, but I never tried to cook it myself, or pick one out of a tank. I just couldn’t. 🙂
How nice that your mom was able to get away for awhile…and that she brought you such a fun present.
Everyone was happy, and that’s always a good thing!
Oh to visit the rocky shores of Maine! Looks like a great trip for your mum. And how kind she brought you back some nice pressies.
Your fur-iends,
Sam and Elsa 🐾
It’s nice she didn’t forget about me while she was off having fun! 🙂
I’ve always wished I had a best girlfriend to do stuff with but never have been blessed with one. I’m so glad you got to go enjoy some me time!
The Momz knows that she’s really lucky to be close with her sisters, and to have such good friends too. ♥
It was a great trip, good getaway for us all, much needed, but only made better by returning home to the farm and loved ones! But I saw the pretty bandana you got Luke, but I didn’t see the lobster Momz got you!! How’d she get that by me?? It looks So cool!
You must have been preoccupied to not see her with that big guy!! LOL
that is so nice Mom was able to go, I have never been to Maine but would love to visit one day. Your “lob-stah” is ADORABLE!
Maine really is beautiful, you should visit some day if you can!
Glad your human mom finally got some time off. Looks like she had fun and you got a lobster toy play with. We love the pictures.
Thank you! It turned out to be great for everyone!
Awww, your very own lobstah! Lucky boy! Ducky would probably tear one apart in no time if I got her one. 🙄 I feel for your Momz – Maine lobster is THE BEST shellfish anywhere! Driving up to Maine is probably the only thing I miss about living on Long Island.
Well, at least others in our group got to enjoy some lobster! Luke has been great with the toy, he hasn’t even torn anything off it yet! 🙂
I am glad you had a much deserved getaway. Very cool toy you got for Luke. 🙂
Thank you!! I definitely had an ocean toy in mind, and that one was just perfect!
I’m glad the mom had a great time on the coast. Love the ocean. So calming.
And mom got a lobster that you love and that she’s not allergic to. Awesome.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Luke. My best to your peeps. ♥
The Momz came back much more relaxed – she says the ocean is good for the soul. ♥
oooh the biggest lobster of all 7 seas just for you? PAWSOME!!!!
Absolutely!!!
What a handsome bandana Luke and your lobstah looks delicious!

It sure is, and the best thing is it lasts much longer than the lobsters humans get! 🙂
What a great present Luke. Glad your Mom enjoyed her time with the girls!
It was much-needed and good for her!
That’s a very cool lobster Luke and how wonderful the Mom got to have a bit of a break, and a fun one too!
It was a win-win for sure! 🙂
Looks like a lovely place, lovely lobster!!!
Yes indeed!!
Your new lobster looks fun. I bet Olivia would love it too. I wonder if it crinkles or squeaks?
Oh, I meant to tell you that! There are squeakers in the claws, and a grunter in the center. No crinkles though.
What a fun and beautiful getaway for your mom, Luke, and she came home bearing pressies! You and your dad are the bestest! Love your bandana and your lobstah!
Thank you, Molly! She didn’t bring any presents for Dadz though – she said he doesn’t need anything! I’m glad she doesn’t think that about me, even though I already have a LOT of toys and bandanas too!
