Sometimes you realize that, completely by accident, you named your pet very aptly. When Cricket lies in the position below, we call it “Cricket Legs”.
Am I right (other than the fact that our Cricket is much cuter)? 🙂

As for what’s in a name? Shadow’s AKC registration name is Callie’s Shadow and it fits her perfectly! She has been following Callie around since the day we brought her home from the breeder’s house. She ADORES her big sister! Those times when Callie had her ACL surgeries, we could tell Shadow was “lost” without her. The adoration is mutual, but Callie is much more independent than Shadow. And Ducky? Well, we didn’t name her — one of the girls at the shelter did — but it fit her so well that we couldn’t think of any other name that fit her better.
That is so sweet that Shadow actually lives up to her AKC name! My hubby actually wanted to name Cricket after a beagle that his father had once, so it was purely coincidental that Cricket started laying like that, but too funny!
Ducky is such a cute name, I can see why you decided to keep it!

I love that pose, Susie does that often too. I love watching her get into that pose too, stretch forward, stretch back, stretch out. I have to say much cuter than the cricket. We won’t debate which beagle is cuter, it would probably be a tie!
