My good friend Emma from My GBGV Life has passed on the Reality Blog Award to me! I am very excited to have received it. Emma writes one of my favorite blogs, and I am so pleased that she likes mine enough to nominate me too. If you are not familiar with Emma, you should go visit her blog. She is a fun dog who loves to walk and play in the snow! And she’s also a model!
I am not sure if I live up to all these descriptions…but I love that someone thinks I do. Plus it gives me something to strive for.
There are the usual rules for accepting these blog awards:
1) Visit and thank the blogger who nominated you…check
2) Acknowledge that blogger on your blog and link back to them…check
3) Answer 5 simple questions…here goes….
A) If you could change one thing, what would you change? Wouldn’t a world without any animal cruelty be wonderful? No puppy mills, no animal testing, no dog fighting.
B) If you could repeat an age, what would it be? Any year? 1972. I was 11 years old then and my family lived in a great neighborhood in Massachusetts. We had a big group of friends and that summer we all spent a lot of fun time playing together. The next summer my family moved to NH and we had to leave all of our friends behind. (luckily we have still kept in touch with some of these friends!)

C) What is one thing that really scares you? Thunderstorms. No wonder 3 out of 4 of our dogs are also afraid of storms. My biggest fear is a tornado, but luckily here in New England we don’t get very many of those (knock wood). Thankfully we have a nice finished basement that we can all go down to when a storm is rolling through.

D) What is one dream you have not completed and do you think you will be able to accomplish it? I would like to write a book. I hope I can accomplish that, but in reality, I’m not sure I have a whole book in me. I love to write but I’m not sure I have the time or ambition to take that on. Plus I have no clue how you go about getting a book published.
E) If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be? My cat Samantha. I’d love just one day where all I need to worry about is finding a patch of sun to lay in. If I’m hungry, someone will feed me. If I want to play, I can! Nary a care in the world, other than hoping one of my humans will stop by and scratch my ears and chin. No wonder cats purr.
4) Display the award on your blog somewhere…check
5) Nominate up to 20 blogs for the award and notify them…
Pixel Blue Eyes…Her Tails of Adventure. Not only is Pixel an adorable Miniature Schnauzer sharing her stories, she also advocates against tail docking.
The (mis)Adventures of Sage….my life story as a dog. Sage is a rescue dog who shares her home with two cats. She loves to play in the mud!
I Still Want More Puppies…if you love puppies and you know it, read this blog. When you visit this blog, the photo that greets you is a precious Beagle/Jack Russell mix. Need I say more?
Cat Chat with Caren & Cody. Many of you may be familiar with Caren’s dog Dakota, but may not know that she also has a blog with her cat Cody.
I am so late, but I wanted to say THANK YOU! 🙂 I really appreciate it.
Also, I’m digging those bell bottoms!
No problem, you are welcome! I was waiting for someone to comment on those bell bottoms! 🙂
Congrats on the award and THANK YOU for thinking of little ol’ me! Hehe–I just got back from playing in the mud.
Thank you, Sage, and you’re welcome! Bet you had fun in that mud! 🙂
CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! We deeply appreciate it!
Thank you, Caren, and you are very welcome too!!
Congrats, Jan, you do deserve this!
Thank you, Lynn!!
Congratulations! You know, I think we all have at least one book in us – it’s getting it out that’s the hard part!
Thank you! Yes, and I guess we have to find it inside ourselves first too, before we can get it out! 🙂
You deserve the award. Mom and I are actually working on my first book right now. It really depends on the type of book you are writing but we are going to self publish. Mom has gone to several community ed classes with some published authors and that has been super helpful in her getting answers to lots of her questions. The first thing your really need is a plan with goals and then get on it. We will see how our journey works out 🙂 Get started on yours!
Thank you, Emma. Oh that is great that you are your Mom are working on a book….I can’t wait to hear more about it, and of course read it. I didn’t even know self publishing was an option. I’ll have to try to find some classes in my area too, and get started on a plan. Thank you for the encouragement!
