Last week Luke was the Explorer, this week he’s the Excavator. He’s a busy boy! It’s been so nice to finally have some real Spring weather, with warm temperatures and dry ground.

It’s finally stopped raining here too and we’re loving the backyard. Spring has sprung!
Love his focus and dedication to his work! ????
I love how Sheba has assumed the supervisory position! LOL
I also love when they stick their faces deep into the hole and come out covered in dirt. They are so stinking cute!!
I swear both Sheba and Luke have had perpetually dirty noses since we moved here! We discouraged digging some at the other house because our septic system and leach field were right there. Here we’re just letting them have at it and they’re having a blast!
Hahahahahhahahahaha!!
LOL that is quite the digging project!
Oh he was having a good ‘ol time!!!!!!! Love it! Sheba cracked me up just watching him BOL
That’s right, Sheba. Let the males do all the work! ~Zoey
Love the background music – and Cricket’s barking! It looks like Luke found some tasty dirt to sample! Sheba is, indeed, one smart lady! She knows how to delegate the hard part of a job so she can watch and relax. 🙂 (Just like her guardian angel used to do.)
Callie must have been giving her some guidance on that one! 🙂
Those long legs can really dig! Sheba pulled the ol’ Tom Sawyer move on Luke. LOL!
What a good job

Your mom let’s you guys digs? That is strictly forbidden for us! Love Dolly
We didn’t much at the old house, but here we’re letting them. Of course, I’ll probably regret it when we fence in the yard, and there are some gardens inside it! 🙂
For a while Misty the alpha Poodle thought that digging was the most exciting activity any dog could do, but then got bored with it.
Sheba doesn’t seem to tire of it. But we didn’t let her dig very much at the old house, so maybe she will get bored after a while here!
Dig Luke, DIG!!!!! I hope you find something exciting in that hole…like a vermin!
So far it’s just been rocks and tree roots. 🙂
Bailie started a hole under a bush last summer. We didn’t see it until the fall when all the leaves fell off the bush. Now she is back at it and we are trying to get her to stop it!
Good luck with that! We have always found it hard to discourage the digging. I don’t mind it in their pen now, since there’s nothing there, but when we fence in the whole yard there will be bushes and flowers. I’ll probably regret this!
give me a sign if you found a big gold nugget there Luke… and you can connect that tunnel with my world tunnel if you want :o)
I’ll see you there soon, Easy!
Woofs, Luke
