The words I wrote yesterday about photos “making or inspiring a story” really came into play for today’s post! The end of the week had been a good time to share my photos for the #PetPhotographyChallenge, so I usually save a day for it. Apparently, the challenge is no more….those that started it either lost interest or got too busy to keep it up. That left me disappointed, and scrambling for something else to post!
It just so happened we’ve been stuck indoors again due to inclement weather, and I got out the new toys that came in our Pet Treater box. I wanted to entertain the crew and start getting some photos for our review (coming next week). Cricket mostly ignored the toys at first, but when I spotted her with one later, I grabbed the camera. Once again, Luke came through for me and gave me some material to work with for today!
I’ve come to the conclusion that Luke is a camera hog, and I had also mentioned yesterday that he loves it when the camera comes out so he’s become our chief spokesmodel. Apparently, he takes that job very seriously, and he’s not too keen on letting Cricket share his duties sometimes.
First he tries just strutting in front of the camera.
That didn’t turn my attention to him, so he decided to try something else.
He starts off subtly….”maybe the Momz will notice me now since I have a toy too!”
He progresses more and more….
Gets more serious about it…..
Until finally “That’s it! Try to ignore me now!”
I almost wondered when looking at the photos afterwards though, was he trying to hog the limelight, or to show Cricket that he had a better toy than she did? I notice his eyes shifting her way in some of the photos! Cricket watches him, however, is pretty unimpressed and mostly just keeps going about her business. She’s used to him!
Hope your Friday and weekend are full of fun and laughs too!
“Keep your eyes on me, girlfriend! See how handsome and special I am?” ????
I think Cricket looks ticked to have to share the limelight….lol. Too bad about the photo challenge. I have joined those in the past (other people running it) and they always seem to end the same way. Not sure why.
Oh that is just too funny! Taffy and I don’t like each other much mom wishes we were more like your two! Love Dolly
They have their moments, and I was worried about what would happen with them when Sheba was gone. Luke was very jealous of Sheba and I was afraid he’d turn that onto Cricket, and start getting more snarky with her. So far, he seems to be doing pretty well. Cricket is bossy, and I think he knows not to mess with her too much, whereas Sheba was more of a pushover.
It’s definitely more fun when everyone likes each other, and they want to play together!
That’s so funny.
Bentley didn’t like having his picture taken. It meant he had to be away from me and almost every photo looked like a mug shot of a sad dog.
cute, and love that big toy that only Luke can handle in that family I think! But glad you said that Cricket just ignores him and goes about her own business, because I was thinking in that 2nd to last photo, that the way she was watching him, was a “hhhmmm, what is that toy HE has, I think it could be better than mine??”
I think she was thinking about it!! 🙂
They are both such cuties with their toys! The poodles do something similar to this when possible attention is to be had!
I really love your pair of dogs, and that was such a fun series of photos that told a story, right Luke???
He knows how to do his job! 🙂
hahaha gambler is my luke!!
Luke sure wanted to be included in the photo shoot. 🙂
I wish Bentley and Pierre loved the camera. I think they both believe it will steal their souls or something. BOL!
That was some really fun photogombing!!!!
Luke makes me smile with his antics. He – like my Ducky – loves the limelight. Shadow used to love parading back and forth in front of Callie with a toy to get her into a game of chase/catch-me-if-you-can. I know she misses those games. She play bows and barks at Ducky at times, but Ducky usually just ignores her. I know I could never replace Callie; but I guess I’m a suitable substitute cuz Shadow does enjoy our play sessions. ????
It’s the opposite here; Luke usually wants to play and Cricket isn’t interested (she likes to play in the morning, but most evenings she’s just all about sleeping!). He really doesn’t play well with me though, he never lets me have any toys! LOL
????
BOL that reallly funny. Does some buddy want attention
Snorts,

Bailie and Madison like to taunt each other by strutting around with toys, or on walks they grab a real nice stick and do the same thing. Mom likes to watch it all play out. We are still so disappointed in the way the photo challenge has ended up, but life goes on!
It is so much fun to watch them teasing each other. I especially like it when Luke gives up on Cricket paying him any attention, he drops the toy and walks away….and then Cricket dives in there and steals it!
I took myself out of the photo challenge group, I didn’t want to keep bothering to go there and look when it was obvious they just weren’t going to keep up with it, even when they said they would.
We are done too. It took a lot of our time as well to constantly check for updates. So sad how they just let it fall apart!
Either way, Luke is one smart boy!
I think he was going to be happy if someone paid attention to him, it didn’t matter if it was me or Cricket! 🙂
I love it. Luke definitely likes his attention- my Beau is the same way. Gotta love them!
he is a machiavelli on 4 legs… how clever he tried to become the center of attention ;o) BRAVO Luke!!!
