Luke wanted to lead the parade for Independence Day….OK, he is actually a one dog parade!
So far our 4th of July in our new neighborhood has been peaceful (other than thunderstorms on Friday night!), paws crossed that continues!

Happy 4th of July from all of us! We hope your weekend has been safe and quiet as well.
I hope it stayed quiet! We were SO lucky this year, the neighbor who usually has the party, didn’t. I don’t know why, and I don’t care, it was less stressful at our house.
Hope you had a great 4th~
I’m so glad for you that your neighbor didn’t have their party…yay! Things stayed pretty quiet here. We did hear some booms Sunday and Monday nights but they weren’t too close so the fans mostly drowned it out. Luke did go to the closet a couple of times, but didn’t have to stay there long.
So lovely, and so cool. Happy late Independence Day! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for stopping by! We are hoping to get chickens next year, so I’m bookmarking your site for reference!
Happy 4th of July!!
Happy Independence Day!
Happy 4th of July Luke! Can’t say it’s a quiet one here though. Sigh. Love Dolly
You sure do look festive! It’s been far from quite in our neck of the woods. Happy Independence Day from all of us!
Luke looks really cute in this photo!! He’s such a character!!
It’s quiet here…at least for now…but we know when it gets dark, the noise will begin. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
We had some boom-booms going on last night, too, but even the closer ones didn’t bother the girls. I was certainly happy about that! I thought sure that Ducky would start barking back at the fireworks like she does at close, loud thunder boomers. And that Shadow would get super-clingy. Poor Emma and her crew!! I’d have been fit to be tied! I heard one or two off in the distance around 2:30, but the girls were born fast asleep. (I was watching a movie on Netflix.)
Love the pix and graphics!!!
**both** not **born** – geez, I hate autocorrect!!
Your graphic is soooo cute! Happy 4th! Hoping things stay peaceful for you! Send some storms our way please, we are dry as a bone!!! xoxo
Thank you, Caren! Things did stay pretty peaceful here for the 4th. We had a few booms Sunday and Monday nights but we could mostly drown it out with the fans, and Luke only had to go to his safe place (the closet) a couple of times for just a few minutes.
It’s been SO dry here too…we really needed that rain. We haven’t had any since though, but hopefully tomorrow. Hope you get some soon!
xxoo
Happy independence Day! That is a great picture.
Luke is a great flag bearer. I hope your peace and quite continues too.
Luke Luke did a great job leading the parade! Have a great 4th
Have a Happy 4th in the new house! Love the photos…………….
Love, Sammy
Very nice, Luke. You and Bailie could parade together! We are all no longer 4th of July fans, including Mom. Those stupid fireworks went off all night on and off until 4:30 this morning. No one can get any sleep. It is ridiculous! Enjoy your 4th and hope it remains quiet.
Oh no, that’s awful, Emma. What is wrong with people? We heard a few booms when we first went to bed, but they were mostly in the distance. Luke did go into the closet for a few minutes but the girls never even stirred. I had the fan on which mostly drowns it out too, but if they’re too close, I know from our other house that you can only do so much. I sure hope it’s quieter for you tonight.
