International Box Day is an annual blogosphere event created many years ago as an opportunity for cat blogs to show off funny photos of their cats in boxes (who doesn’t have a photo of their cat in a box?). Later on, dog blogs were also invited to join in the fun! When our new friend Ann at Zoolatry asked me if one of our dogs would like to be the “woofie” sponsor this year, I was thrilled to be asked!
Since Luke is our box lover around here (dogs love boxes too!), as well as our best model, I decided he would be right for the job. So Luke is joining the two calico cats from the blog Peaches and Paprika in hosting this event.
It’s all just for fun and for showing off your favorite photos of your pets and boxes. Luke, Peaches, and Paprika hope you’ll join us on June 19th! Please grab the badge to the left to use in your post.
Just heard about this fun event from Sammy over at onespoiledcat. This is going to be great!
We’re so glad you heard about it, and can’t wait to see your post!
Yikes, another event to put on our calendar.
We like to keep you busy! 🙂
OMD you did a great job on those pictures! Back in mom’s 3-cat days their favorite part of putting up the Christmas tree was the box! Love Dolly
Cats and Christmas trees….those are some fun stories! Our Katie used to like to sleep on top of all of the presents.
I can’t take credit for the pictures here though, Ann from Zoolatry did all of that….I just added some text to one of them.
Oh, this is so adorable, between Luke and the kitties, I love it!! Wish you could post a pic if you don’t have a blog-Aja is the “box queen”! She inspects everyone Eric brings home very carefully, and he won’t get rid of it until she has had her fill of sleeping in it, walking through it, whatever!!
If you have a photo of Aja in a box, Lynn, I’d be happy to include it in my post! You could always put it out on Facebook as well.
Yay! We’ve never met a box we didn’t like!
Golly!! If I tell Rugby that there’s an actual “Boxing Day” he will want to shred every box he sees!! I’ll have to see if I can get him to sit in a box BEFORE the shredding begins! 😉
Love the blog!! Such cute graphics on this post!! So glad we can connect! 🙂
Thank you so much!
I can’t take credit for today’s graphics though, those were done by Ann at Zoolatry.
Luke loves to shred boxes too….unfortunately he started eating them as well so we had to stop letting him do it. I’m hoping to get him in a box for this too, and same as you, hoping I can get some photos before he starts the shredding!
At least I can always count on my cat Sam to sit in a box, so she’ll come through for me! 🙂
Do chairs count? I have a picture of Delilah threaded through a camp chair, but nothing in boxes. LOL
Jax is a box kinda dog, so let me see what I can come up with.
I just marked it on my calendar. I missed it last year. : (
Thanx for the reminder. Int’l Box Day is one of my fave days of the year!
Oh wow so much fun!!! Love these pics too!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
this was very cute and I bet on the 19 their will be tons more of cute photos. I’ll have to see if I can come up with something.
Cody will be participating for sure…don’t know about Dakota yet. Hey, tell Peaches and Paprika to follow Cody back, he is following them but they aren’t (wink)
Sounds like fun! Our animals don’t seem to care too much about boxes, unless of course treats are inside them….lol.
That’s my secret plan for hopefully getting Luke to pose in a box….lots of treats in there! 🙂
Cat bro Bert says this even was made for him. I will have to see if I can fit in Bert in a box that day!
Oh boy – one of my FAVORITE celebrations!!!!!!
Hugs, Sammy
I love boxes too, probably I got some feline genes :o) Boxes are great and that event sounds pawsome :o)
