Now, can you believe on my birthday that my Momz posted THIS on Instagram?
She actually said I am spoiled! The nerve! But, having said that, I do have to admit I’ve got it pretty good. I wanted my birthday to be nothing less than the same awesome that every day of my life is (the truth is, I like my routines). But Momz and Dadz still made my birthday a special day.
To start it off, my Dadz took me for a walk! It was really cold that morning, and Dadz wanted to give Momz a break. While I love my walks with Momz, Dadz doesn’t walk me very often, so our walks together are extra special (don’t get me wrong, I love it when Momz walks me too!).
When we got back, Momz was working in the kitchen, and I did some snoopervising. She wasn’t baking dog cookies, but she had baked some the day before and I got plenty of my favorite Blueberry & Banana throughout the day.
Momz was working on an indoor project, because the weather outside turned really nasty – snow, sleet, freezing rain, and lots of wind. I was happy to just hang out in front of the toasty warm wood stove.
They pick on me because I kept my coat on after my walk, they both tried to take it off, but I wanted to keep it on and be extra cozy!
Play time always comes in the evening after I have my supper, and wasn’t I excited about my new duck toys*!
You saw earlier in the week how much fun I had with those! All that toy destruction really wore me out, so it was time to snuggle. I love it when both Momz and Dadz come and sit with me on the couch in the evening.
It may not sound like a very exciting day to you, but for me it was the best (birth)day ever!

Happy birthday, Luke! So sorry I’m late reading your post. I’m so glad you have a coat to wear when the weather is so NASTY. Our pups have coats for that kind of weather, too. Gotta have ’em up here! At least you look handsome in it, right?
Thank you for the belated birthday wishes! Yes, we couldn’t be without the coats up here, and thank goodness Luke enjoys wearing them so much. His fur is very thin, especially underneath, so I really feel like he needs them. There’s a lot of handling, like his paws, that he does not like (no boots for him!), so I’m thankful having a coat put on is OK with him. And I love how he looks in them too!
We wished you a Happy Birthday on da gram buts dis is da furst dat we had da chance to pop over to your blog to read about your big day since it has been hot mess express over here wif Daddy changing jobs. Looks like you had da bestest day efur and we don’t blame you fur wanting to keep your warm cozy coat on 😉
