When searching for a dog to share today, I fell in love with this face.
It was kind of cool to find out that Dottie is up for adoption with Libby’s Haven for Senior Canines, in Canterbury NH, which is the group that had the very first pet I ever shared, Hester, on Tuesday’s Tails! Hester has since been adopted.
Dottie is bonded with another hound mix named Cat. They came to Libby’s together, and are in foster care together. Dottie is 8-9 years old, gets along great with other dogs, but she is shy of men and probably shouldn’t go to a home with cats (other than her dog friend named Cat, that is). She is a medium size tri-color beagle/hound mix. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and heartworm negative.

Her companion Cat was undergoing heartworm treatment at the time she was listed in 2013. She has also been spayed, is housetrained, and is current on vaccinations. She is a medium size beagle/hound mix as well. Cat gets along with everyone, and Dottie is very dependent on her. They both came from a situation where the owner had taken on too much and couldn’t care for them.
Libby’s Haven for Senior Canines is an all volunteer group founded in 1990. There was a video made about them by RCTV in 2013 if you care to watch it. You might want to just for the sake of seeing all those sweet senior beagle faces!
You can also learn more about Libby’s by visiting their website here, and following them on Facebook. To see the Petfinder pages for Dottie and Cat, click on their names below.
