While our green bean crop is nothing this year like it has been in previous years, Luke is still getting to enjoy one of his favorite snacks on occasion. Our cool, wet spring slowed them way down so the plants never really grew much, but we still are getting a few beans. He can be so silly with how excited he gets about beans! We shared a photo of him waiting patiently for one on Instagram a couple of weeks ago, similar to the one immediately below, but he is not always so patient.

Most of these photos are just silly and out of focus, but I thought they were fun and might bring a smile. Who can’t use a smile on a Monday?

I’ve promised Luke we’ll do better on the beans next year!
Jaxson has a green bean infatuation also. Harley’s not interested!
Cricket has no interest in them either!
These are so cute! I hate green beans, so I hardly ever have them here–Barley usually gets them on the rare occasion I end up with them on my own plate, but she is not nearly this excited about them! (And Rye has never had one because I haven’t eaten a green bean in the time I’ve had her, but she loves veggies, so she’d probably get excited.)
Have you ever tried a fresh green bean? You might find you like them. I think Luke prefers his uncooked, and I love to munch on them right out of the garden too!
Tallulah is our veggie girl. She love, love, loves carrots. (I’m more the fruity one.) Mommy’s adding fresh green beans to the grocery list. We’ll see what she thinks. Thanks for the suggestion!
Be sure to let us know how she likes them! Luke likes carrots too, and broccoli but the beans are by far his favorite.
Cricket doesn’t want anything to do with any of them, or fruit either!
Cute pictures, does Luke want to meet the real king the jolly green giant??
I can’t see that going well, so probably not. LOL!
Awww. And what an adorable nose he has!!! Kitty loved green beans … and peas … and salad … I guess green was her “thing” š
Nothing wrong with being “green”! š
I needed a smile, too! The dog-daddy has been obsessed with some bs and driving me up a wall over it, so a BIG THANK YOU for the goofy pix! I love every one of them!
Happy to make your day better. ā„
The boys have never had a raw green bean. I should buy some at the store for treats. They love cooked green beans.
You might find they like them raw too, then that will save you the step of cooking them! š
Lucky Luke! I can’t grow green beans due to our very short growing season but we have wild raspberries all over our land. I showed them to Shyla (picked one and gave it to her)… and now she’s obsessed with them!
I recently gave Luke his first raspberry too, and he liked it. We don’t have a lot around though, but we’ll be keeping an eye out when we’re on our walks!
Our beagle Kobi used to pick the black raspberries himself right off the bush! I couldn’t get him to walk past the bushes, or get him away from them once he started!
NOM!! Wow Luke, you really love your veggies!!
xoxo

He’s such a healthy boy! š
Those photos tell a funny story. I noticed that Crickett gave up and isn’t in the window on the final photo.
Once she figured out the only thing being doled out was a vegetable, she lost interest! LOL
Luke sure loves those beans!
Oh boy, that is how green bean fun was meant to be Luke!
Dakota loves green beans too (and so do I!), you are so lucky to have FRESH ones!!
We ARE lucky, but I wish we had more this year. They’re starting to die down already.
I could! I could use a smile, and yes, these made me smile! I love how excited Luke gets about the green beans. I remember trying to teach Delilah a high-five and she was so excited for the food, which was a green bean, that she couldn’t focus.
You have to love a dog that loves his/her veggies!
I’ve never tried using them for training with Luke, but I think they might work well!
green beans are pawsome… I always turn into bean-nocchio when I get one :o)
The only way we will go near a green bean is if it is cooked and tucked in with other foods. We have some nose work friends who get green beans as their reward for finding hides. They are crazy! I guess you are a healthy boy, Luke!
We might have to try them for nose works too! I’m not sure Cricket will even eat them cooked, she’s much more like you girls.
