We received a little bit of a different offer recently, to review animal art from Fulcrum Gallery. I try not to get carried away with art on the walls…I believe that less is more, but I do love a variety of different art. Before I tell you about the lovely art we received from Fulcrum Gallery, I thought I’d show you a little bit of the art we already had up on our walls (thanks to Jackie at Pooch Smooches for the idea).
We have a good variety but it does fall into a few categories:
Country Art
Landscapes. We found this beautiful winter scene at a flea market – a great place to find good deals on art!
Lighthouses. My hubby took this photo of Bass Harbor light on a trip to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park many years ago and we had it professionally framed.
Vintage advertising:
And of course, many animal related themes: Dogs, cats, wildlife, and birds.
We got three beautiful framed bird photographs for a steal from a local wildlife photographer when he was retiring and closing his gallery!
So when I got the offer from Fulcrum Gallery, I was excited! Then I spent several days perusing their collections – they have SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM. They had something from all of my favorite categories. They wanted a review on some of their animal art, thankfully, so that narrowed it down some. As you can see, we had beagles, golden retrievers, and cats (black and orange) covered so I thought we needed something to represent Luke, who is a Labrador retriever mix. No, there is no art out there of black and white Lab mixes, but there was plenty of Lab art to choose from (click here to see their selection of Lab artwork), and since our other Lab mix Maggie was black, I thought that would be appropriate. Plus I fell in love with this:

Since it also has some water and scenery, I thought it was perfect, and my hubby agreed! We were able to pick out whatever frame and mat we wanted (up to $100 value). There was SO MANY selections there too! We picked the blue mat since we planned to put it in our dining room on a light blue wall. You can pick 1-3 mats, with widths from 2.5 to 6.5 inches. Then you can also choose from acrylic Plexiglas (standard or non-glare) or glass (standard, non-glare, or museum quality). As you make each selection it recalculates the price immediately, so it couldn’t be any easier.
I was asked to give a fair and honest review, pros and cons, but being honest, I have to say I really couldn’t find any cons. The process of picking out all the options was simple. We received our piece in less than a week, with all hardware needed for hanging, and it was well packaged and in pristine condition. I have ordered from a different site before and one piece showed up with a scratch on the glass and the frame.
I wanted to show you a close-up of the frame, which looked even better in person than on the website. It is called Rustic Mahogany Tuscan, and it really is beautiful.
I’ll try to find one con here and say that it can get pricey depending on what you want. However, if you’ve ever had custom framing done, it is not cheap. Fulcrum Gallery also has sales going on all of the time. Right now there is 50% off much of their art, with another 10% if you sign up for their newsletter. I also have personal photographs hanging in my house, and guess what? They will put them on canvas and frame them for you as well! I am definitely going to be looking into that.
Here is another look at our new piece hanging on the dining room wall.
Really, we couldn’t be happier with our new Lab artwork. Would you like to read more about Labrador retrievers? Click here! Luke is definitely starting to show the athletic build they describe in that article, and we’re glad to have some artwork up that represents his main breed.
*Disclaimer: We received one piece of complimentary art of our choice, but were not compensated in any other way. Wag ‘n Woof Pets only shares products we feel will be of interest to our readers, and we are fair and honest in our reviews.*
That is a great print and you picked just the right frame. Very nice. I like all of your art. 🙂
Thank you! We are really pleased with it, and it’s nice to hear that someone likes our taste in art!
Great review and I love the piece you picked out.
Thank you!!
No surprise, I love the Labrador one. 🙂
Nope, I’m not surprised!! 🙂
my faves are the cat art!
I just love those “fat cat” prints, as I call them! The colors were perfect for that room….I think they’ve been faded by the sun some, but they still look great!
No, I don’t really love the artwork that much, enough to comment 3 times, we’re just doing some comment testing here!
I am having website and spam issues, so if anyone is trying to leave a comment and can’t, I apologize! I hope to have it fixed soon.
This piece of art really does look great hanging on our dining room wall!

We just got our piece of art to review from Fulcrum Gallery! We love ours too. We got one of a black and white Lab…reminded me of Shiloh and Scout! It is beautiful and like you, I don’t think I can come up with any cons! Love your picture you picked out!
Thank you!! I can’t wait to see yours, I’ll be watching for your review! I will probably recognize it, since I think I looked at every single one of the Lab choices. 🙂
Hmmm, how interesting! I think my fav out of all those would be the winter landscape that you got from the flea market. I love winter scenes, I think they are just beautiful! thank you for sharing some great art with us today!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
You’re welcome, so glad you enjoyed it, Jenna. I love winter scenes also. We also have two small winter lighthouse scenes that I love.
We never get enough dog, wolf and wildlife art for our walls.
Love it! We used to have a whole spare bedroom devoted just to wolves!
I love that piece!
Thanks! I forgot to say how big it is too, though I guess you can judge from the photo…it was bigger than we thought. Definitely worth the price!
Great art. All of them. Sniff and wags from Laika and Vaks.
Thank you, and thanks for coming by!
