Luke had his first bath this last weekend! It went pretty well. We have a walk in shower which makes it easier, and Luke had already been walking into the shower when we were using it! So at least we knew he wouldn’t be freaked out going in there. It was a bit different when we started spraying and washing him but he was pretty good, only trying to escape a few times. However, there are no photos of the actual bath, because it was easier with two of us to keep him in there!

Thank you to BlogPaws for hosting the Wordless Wednesday blog hop!
He looks so handsome and none the worse for wear.
He did live through it….LOL…we’ll see how he does next time now that he’ll know what’s coming. He didn’t stay clean long enough though!
It takes 2 of us to bathe Rita as well! He sure looks cute all cleaned up and with his new collar!
Thanks! He is a cutie but we wish we could keep him clean! Baths are a 2 person job for all the dogs in this house (or in Sheba’s case, a job for the groomer sometimes)!
My sisters and I dislike bath time. Luke looks good and we love his collar!
Luke is thrilled that you girls think he looks good!
What a cutie!
Thanks! It’s a good thing he’s cute too! (he is still a puppy after all, and has me pulling my hair out some days!)
Shiner just had a bath too! She isn’t a fan. I also just get into the shower with her.
It’s so much easier than leaning over a tub, isn’t it?
Baths are a curse…although we usually get treats afterwards, so we tolerate them. You did good Luke.
Thanks, slimdoggy! I definitely got treats afterwards…my sisters made sure of it! BOL
But he looks so clean and fluffy! Onyxx would try to jump out of the sink.
I’d love to have a dog I could do in the sink….it would be much easier on my back! Come to think of it, Cricket might fit in there….LOL
I know it wasn’t fun but you look great and feel better too! Love Dolly
It is kind of nice to be clean….plus Momz kept telling me how handsome I am! Love, Luke
I wish I had a hand held shower head, I do have the walk in shower, but the shower head is high on the wall and Sampson really needs a bath! LOL
Yeah, the hand held shower head makes all the difference!
I love his new collar. We used to have a dog that stuck his head behind our shower curtain while we were showering. That’s so funny! Bark More, Growl Less Barking from the Bayou!
When we put in our walk in shower we had both golden retrievers and I thought sure they’d try to join us in there, but they never did. But Luke loves to come in!
Handsome boy all spiffy and shinny.
If only he’d stay that way!
Haha only tried to escape a few times? Sometimes I push open the shower door and run out!
Exactly why two people were needed….one to block the escape route! LOL
Not the evil b word.
Yes, indeed, it had to happen!! 🙂
Cute dog. Some of ours did better their first time than I thought they would while others freaked out.
Thanks! We’ve been pretty lucky with all of our dogs so far, but we don’t give a lot of baths either, really just when needed but no more than 2-3 times a year.
Oh, the dreaded b-a-t-h! BOL It looks like Luke didn’t mind it at all. Happy WW!
He really was pretty good about it! Both of the girls are too, so bath time at least isn’t a total horror show around here! 🙂 The worst part is trying to keep them in the house and out of the dirt for a while!
I can smell’z all that cleanezz right over here Luke.. Think you need to do some Fox Poo rolling Bawahhahhahaha xxoxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
I sure do, Mollie & Alfie, thanks!! The humans just don’t get that!
Love Luke
xxxooo
Hey Luke! You look bootiful!!!!! It wasn’t so bad, was it? Having a walk in shower probably helps greatly!!!! Have a wonderful day!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Thanks, Jenna! It was not so bad, and Mom says the walk in shower makes it much easier on the old people’s backs!
Love, Luke
Now he has that figured out, you’ll never get him in there again.
The first time is probably the easiest, right, before they figure out what’s really going on!
