Cricket says it’s a sad day when a dog is forced to half swim in their water dish in order to cool off while playing ball!
The pool was last seen in late October of last year – 7 months ago! Even then, there was no water in it, though Sheba seemed to think there should have been.
We really haven’t had much hot weather yet, just a day in the 70’s here and there, but they are predicting 80’s later this week, so the pool will probably be coming out then. We’ll be sure to share some photos when it does!
It was very humid when I left the house this morning. I was afraid to turn on the air before I left because it hasn’t been used in months, so I will wait until later tonight. But I did put a fan in the window and hope the house stays cool enough for the dogs.
If you are experiencing the weather we are, I expect you’ll be breaking that pool out soon!
Yes, we are, and yes, we did! Photos coming tomorrow. 🙂
We could use a pool right about now, unfortunately! Sheba is adorable in the empty pool! Love Dolly
My pool is up and running. Hope the dogs get there’s soon.
It’s going to be 80s here too starting tomorrow! Praying our air conditioner works!
We’re suppose to see 80’s this week too so I’m hoping the dog pool doesn’t have a hole in it!
Mr. N thinks swimming is something OTHER dogs do. But not him. I think he’d almost rather be hot!
MOL! How funny that Cricket kinda went swimming in the water dish. 🙂
We are finally having beautiful weather and took the pups to the lake for the first time. I would love to get them a pool, but the Man says no!
The man says no to way too many fun things around there! 🙂
No pool here, but when Misty the alpha Poodle sees water she is there, proving that her ancestors were hunting and water dogs. The others avoid the whole water idea;
I will be buying a pool for my big girl, a lab/border collie. She loves to dog paddle around the pool!!! My puppy, a tiny poodle/pekinese mix hasn’t been in a pool yet. I am sure big sister will teach him.
I bet she will teach him, and won’t that be fun to watch!
The boys have never been in a pool but they will run through the water sprinkler.
I want to try a sprinkler too, because Sheba doesn’t really get anything other than her legs wet. I sometimes lightly spray her with the hose though to get her wetter!
That’s a nice size water dish I tell ya

Our 80 degree weather has come and gone. It was a spring fluke and we expect a return in June or July. We have kiddie pools for the dogs, but they sometimes crack in the winter so I have to pull them out to do a check.
Enjoy your sunshine!
We were really lucky to have found that heavy duty pool that we don’t have to worry about cracking. It even has a plug for easy emptying!
We usually get that hot spring weather that disappears too, but this year we really haven’t. This week has been hot though, and it probably won’t last!
No pool here, either. Sorry Cricket! When Callie and Shadow were a year and 6 months old respectively, I got them a kiddie pool; but Callie ignored it and Shadow chewed on the outer edge of the rim. That was how much they liked it. Even when I got in and sat in it, trying to coax them in, they wanted nothing to do with it. I still think it would be great for Ducky, but hubby says no to the mess it would make of the yard. And considering what the last rain did, I have to admit that he has a valid point.
Cricket is actually the only one that gets all the way in it to cool off. Luke and Sheba only stand in it! Luke does at least stick his face in though (photo coming tomorrow).
Oh no poor Cricket!
No pool here for sure unless you count the million of rain puddles with all the rain we’ve had (and are STILL having!). I’m sure the pups will love it when that pool fills up – – – will be in the 80s here late this week so better weather is coming for sure!
Hugs, Pam (and Sam)
We really haven’t been getting a lot of rain here. I know this because I can’t get my hubby to get off his tractor and work on some of the indoor projects! 🙂
I hope things have dried out for you now too!
We just had a warm weekend, but no pool here either. Ours will probable come out in a week or two as well.
maybe the jacuzzi would make a great dog pool till summer comes with warmer temperatures?
Good idea, Easy!
