We’ll be keeping things simple and lighthearted for the next couple of days. I was fighting a stomach bug all last week and spent a lot of it on the couch feeling sorry for myself. Luke kept me great company though, and was understanding when we couldn’t get outside to play much (the Dadz filled in when he could too). Then I had a fun weekend visiting a friend, but of course now I am hopelessly behind on everything, in a week when we were supposed to be getting back into the swing of things!
If you’re looking for a post with a little more substance, check out yesterday’s “Our Top 10 Favorite Positive Pet Training Tools” if you haven’t already.
As fun as the indoor tunnel is, Cricket and Luke are excited that we’re expecting a few inches of snow today, so hopefully we’ll be outside playing in it this afternoon. I’ll take my camera out and try to get some good shots of the fun. It’s supposed to be followed by ice and rain, like it seems every storm has been this winter, but we hope we get enough snow to absorb it so we’re not back to a big icy mess again.
Winter always seems to be a challenging season for us! How is your winter going?
Cute picture.
Cricket your so darn adorable. have fun in that tunnel
Cricket is having fun! We hope you’re feeling better soon.
Beautiful as always, Cricket!
We are back in the ice here, it is awful! Nice tongue out in the tunnel!
We ended up getting mostly ice that day too. But today we finally got about 6 inches of nice fluffy snow! We really hope this means we can get the snowshoes out this weekend, and get Luke and Cricket out in the woods for a walk.
We hope the all better finds you soon!
That stomach bug is making its way through our city too. We are avoiding people more than usual to try and avoid germs. LOL! I still have not gotten the boys a tunnel. Maybe for Christmas…
Surely someone must have a birthday before Christmas! 🙂
Every buddy around here had a stomach bug too. Feel better
Lily & Edward
It was a persistent one, but I’m finally feeling better – thank you!
Hoping you are feeling better soon!
I think I’m finally getting there, thank you, Caren! I hope you are doing well after your procedure as well! ♥
Easy does it is a good strategy. Hope you’re at 100% quickly and the fur-kids get a nice snow romp.
The storm that day was a rip-off, we got barely any snow and then sleet and rain. But we got about 6 inches of nice fluffy snow today – yay!
Glad you’re feeling better, and that you had a fun visit with your friend over the weekend!!
Love that photo of Cricket in the tunnel! That’s just too cute for words!
I really needed that little get away, though I’d still been fighting that bug. Today I think I’m finally on the down side of it!
Sorry you were sick, I hope you feel better soon. Cute tunnel photo, that reminds me that I need to put ours back out now that the holidays are over.
maybe that is a teleport tunnel too? then you can send the stomach bug to nirvana that way :o) we look for a tunnel too, but either they cost an eye and a leg or they are too small… maybe that screams for a diy-tunnel-project? … better not LOL
Well, a DIY tunnel post would definitely make for some good reading! As long as you keep 9-1-1 (or whatever they call that over there) on speed dial. BOL
I am right there with you. I spent most of the last week and the weekend before on the couch/in bed. I’m lucky, as Callie is a Cavalier she is generally happy to snuggle most days, but even she was going stir crazy by the end of it. I also had all these plans. We had been getting better about going for reg. walks in town, Callie was starting to get some public training, and I wanted to start an obedience class last week.
Oh well, sometimes winter knocks us down, and we just have to pick up and start going again, right? So sorry to hear you have been sick too!
We New Englanders are used to that, I think, aren’t we? Mother Nature definitely keeps us challenged. I hope both of us are back to 100% and back to routines soon!
Simple & lighthearted sounds good to me! Sorry you were ill, but I hope you’re feeling back to your regular self and are ready to have some fun in the snow.
Thank you! I think I’m finally getting there, and we finally got some fresh snow too!
