There’s a brand new monthly blog hop in town, and this is going to be a fun one! Welcome to the first Pet Blogger Bloopers Round-Up for 2016! Last year we had the #52Snapshots of Life photo challenge, and a challenge it certainly was! This year we decided to get together with other pet bloggers and do something that’s pretty much the total opposite. We get to share a photo that didn’t go as planned; which trust me, happens a lot in the pet blogging world! It takes a lot of snapshots to get those perfect (or at least good) shots for each post – thank goodness for digital cameras and the delete button. But now it will be worthwhile to hang onto some of those photos that probably should get deleted, and share one each month that made us laugh or shake our heads when it popped up on the computer, and hopefully will give our readers a laugh too.
Once again, our friend Christina at The Lazy Pitbull is our hostess for this entertaining blog hop.
Our entry this month is one of several bloopers I took when trying to get a photo of Luke doing his “Spin” trick. I had my camera set on the sport mode, which I thought would work. Clearly it did not. I’ve since learned that other modes on my camera might work better, and the sport mode does not work well inside the house. Also, in retrospect, I should have done video for that post anyway (knowing me, I was pressed for time, doing things at the last minute as usual, and videos take longer to upload, etc.).

If you would like to see the one photo I took at that time that was good enough to use in the post (and marginally so), you can visit that post here: “Time to Regroup – Positive Pet Training“.
We would love it if many more bloggers joined in this fun blog hop. It will be held the second Friday of every month and run for one week. Please visit other blogs through the links below for more blooper fun!
What fun! You know I have bloopers too. My problem with monthly hops is that I always forget about them month to month. I suppose I should try to be more organized but the secret is that I blog on the fly….lol.
I hear you! I am on the fly most of the time too, and I hope I don’t forget this next month! I used to do the See Beautiful hop sometimes but I could never remember when it was, so I finally gave up. 🙂
We are joining in this week we have an endless supply of bloopers! Love Dolly
what a fun hop! love your blooper!
“whirling dervish” what a great expression!
That came into my mind, but I’m not even sure exactly what it means or refers to! LOL
You are faster than the speed of light
Woofs,
Lily & Edward
My camera is full of these images. LOL
I’m loving these bloopers that we’re all posting…I don’t need to delete them anymore!
Luke is just a blur! We need to pawticipate in this Round-up. We know we’ve got a ton of blooper photos!
You throw out pictures of your pets? TW keeps them all—mostly for art purposes. Sometimes those out of focus pics look perfect when a filter is applied.
I don’t really throw out many, but I do occasionally delete some that are just too far gone! I almost shared the photo I had of an empty staircase…I swore there was a dog on it when I took the photo..LOL. Ironically, that one I did not delete!
Maybe you saw Kobi’s or Moses’ spirit on that staircase. Maybe they were there together, watching over Sheba. Spirits have a way of visiting us when we need them the most.
I love that thought, and it might be exactly why I subconsciously chose not to delete it. ♥
I think it is just because Luke is super fast!
Now THAT is an AWESOME blooper! I LOVE it!
Thanks for linking up with us again! Excited to see what else you share this year! 🙂
It is reassuring to know that enough bloggers have bloopers to make a weekly hop! LOL! Sometimes we feel that ours are the only two that give us 20x more bloopers than good shots.
It’s just a monthly hop, M. K. But I’m sure many of us could come up with enough to do it on a weekly basis! 🙂
But it’s so….artsy!
My sport mode never seems to work like I want it to either!
This sounds like fun!! I have SO many pictures that I take and am like what on earth is this!! Some of the outtakes are the funniest and best pictures!!
Oh boy–for as many pictures of Barley that we have where she’s smiling and happy, we have just as many where she’s sticking out her tongue or doing something else weird. We’ll have to see what we can come up with!
Ohhh! How fun! I will link up with you guys tomorrow!
And BTW – I can’t even tell you how many of those blurry pics I have of Koda! I think he outruns the camera snap! hahaha!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Our boys are just too fast, aren’t they? 🙂
Sport mode rarely seems to cut it. My photographer forced herself to learn to do almost everything in manual and it works much better. She tried sport mode again yesterday morning for some indoor chiropractor shots which aren’t a lot of movement and they were blurred but the manual settings ones came out just fine. You definitely have a good blooper there.
Thanks! I definitely need to learn more about the manual mode of my camera.
