What’s My Color?
Last week we took an informal poll asking what color you thought looked best on our clotheshorse Luke. Blue turned out to be the clear favorite, with red and then green far behind. In the photo I shared Luke was wearing a royal blue sweatshirt, which he eventually chewed through, so we don’t have that any longer. I found some nice sweaters on clearance from West Paw Design, so I picked up three at a bargain. Here we have a navy blue, and a baby blue with red:

The third one was green, and just for fun I decided to put that one on Sheba. Our long haired girl of course, does not need a sweater, though she does have her one bald side (from her surgery) so she might not mind too much! I wasn’t sure how she would be about having it put on, but she was fine.

It did cause a fight to break out though (all in fun, they are only playing here)! Were they arguing over who looked better in their sweater?
We actually had a few days where Luke didn’t have to wear a sweater outside. Today we have barely reached 20 degrees and it’s windy though. We’re also expecting snow this weekend. This is typical of March in New England, but I’m still not happy about it! Just a few days above freezing and I’m spoiled. We did lose a lot of snow during that spell, but there’s still a lot to go yet!
Winners!
Congratulations to KateV and Jenna “Husky Crazed” who won our giveaway of the book Spaghetti for Sheepdogs! They have been contacted and their books will be on their way to them soon! Jenna has her own blog, Love is Being Owned by a Husky. Check it out, she also sells some beautiful handmade jewelry on there!
We Won Too!
We want to send a huge thanks out to our friend Dolly the Doxie. Look Who’s Happy!
Here is what Sheba is so happy about:
We won these bags of treats from Dolly. We opened the bag of beef jerky first, and I couldn’t believe how good it smelled. If I was a jerky eater myself, I might have tried them! Cricket had to take hers to one of her special spots to savor it:
Pet Bloggers and Social Media Poll
I belong to the Pet Blogger Influencer Group in the BlogPaws community. We respond to monthly polls and BlogPaws puts together the results in a nice infographic.
I was with the majority on most of these answers, though I think I do more with Twitter than Facebook. I find it difficult to get interaction on my Facebook page, but I do keep trying!
I think that wraps up our odds and ends for this week! Come back tomorrow for our #52Snapshots of Life weekly photo challenge. This week’s theme is “Travel”. That was a tough one for homebodies like us, I had to get creative!
Today we are joining the Thursday Barks & Bytes blog hop. Thank you to our hosts 2 Brown Dawgs blog, and Heart Like a Dog. Please visit other blogs through the links below!
Love the new sweaters, that first navy blue is really pretty
Thank you, I think that is the favorite!
I loved seeing your dogs in sweaters. Loved it!
Thank you so much! I never used to dress up any of the dogs at all….now I’m starting to get hooked on it! 🙂 Good thing I have my hubby to hold me back from getting carried away.
Why does it look as if Luke doesn’t feel too good about wearing stripes? BOL Congratulations on the treats – Look Who’s Happy is a huge hit here in Doodleville.
Ha ha, but I think it might be the “baby blue” that’s bothering him!
We don’t get a lot of jerky treats around here, so the dogs are thrilled to be enjoying these!
I forgot all about those treats, they’re delicious! Luke looks adorable in his sweaters! Love Dolly
Thank you, Dolly! They really do like the treats, so thanks again for those.
Oh Luke and Sheba, you look just FABULOUS!!! I really like those new sweaters!!! Stylish 🙂 Thanks so much for the blog and jewelry mention, I really appreciate that! Can’t wait to check out the book too!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Thank you, Jenna! I’m going to miss dressing up the dogs when summer gets here! BOL
Enjoy the Look Who’s Happy treats, they are so good!
They can’t wait to get into the venison ones!
Hi Y’all!
Between the vanishing Internet connection, the long hours my Humans put in to keep me in food and keep me exercised, there is barely computer time to put a post together. Just forget social media. I rarely have enough time on the computer to visit a couple my Blogville friends’ blogs.
Y’all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
You are right, Hawk. I think it’s more important to visit our friends, than to worry about social media! I visit my friends blogs ahead of doing anything much on social media too.
My favorite is the blue sweater. Happy Thursday!
He does look quite handsome in that, doesn’t he?
What a find. Luke definitely looks good in blue and that green sweater is perfect for Sheba!
Thanks! I think it might turn out that green is Sheba’s color!
I really like the green on Sheba. She might need to wear that sweater for fashion if not for warmth. 🙂 Congrats to the winner and congrats on your winnings. Thanks so much for joining the hop.
Thank you! I really didn’t think Sheba would be happy about wearing the sweater, but she kept in on all day with no complaints! (it was cool even in the house that day)
Wow, those are a couple of stylin’ dogs! 🙂
Thank you so much! Now, if only the cats would let me dress them. 🙂
You guys and gal look stunning! Looks like you won some yummies too! Yay!
Why, thank you! Well dressed and full of treats, how could it be better? 🙂
Those are some good looking sweaters on both dogs! Maybe Luke felt the sweaters were his and Sheba was stealing his clothes…and a bit of the spotlight. 😉
Luke definitely does not like having his spotlight stolen!! 🙂
Congrats Sheba! Treats are always a win, right? do you now if the have the navy blue sweater for humans too? my mom loves this sweater and she wants one too :o)
Sheba definitely agrees that treats are always a win!
BOL…I did not see the navy blue sweater for humans, but it is pretty nice, isn’t it?!
Congrats on your win.
Did you get Luke’s jackets online or in a store? I’m still looking for just the right jackets for S&D but they are so expensive!!
Yes the nice weather melted a lot of our snow too. There are actually patches where you can see earth. Real earth!
It was cold this morning, but I smiled because you can tell there has been a shift in the weather.
Thank you for joining the blog hop.
Thank you!
I got the sweaters in this post online, but I think they’re all sold out now. The ones from a previous post came from a store in North Conway, but they also have a website that I’ve ordered from. The sweatshirt ones in my other posts were not too expensive.
Earth? You can see real earth? I can’t wait for that! 🙂 More snow for us this weekend, though maybe it will just be rain…fingers crossed!
Last I heard we are just getting rain, fingers crossed you get it too!
That is what they’re saying now…but then it’s going to get cold again, so I’m afraid we’re going to end up with a whole lot of ice!
Congratulations to all the winners! I really love the BlogPaws infographics, they are super informative.
Thank you! I think there is always at least a little something to learn from the infographics.
