Welcome to the Pet Blogger Bloopers Roundup for February, hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull. This is our chance to share one of our “whoops” photo moments from the last month.
I took this shot just after last month’s hop. I was taking some photos for a food review. Sheba’s food dish is in a dark corner of the house, and as if I’m not challenged enough with photography, indoor is the most difficult. I typically take a lot of shots using different settings on the camera. As I clicked a shot off and saw this pop up in my camera monitor I thought “what the heck was that? – what did I do this time?”.
I quickly looked at the settings on my camera and realized that instead of turning the dial to “scene”, I had turned it to “effects”. This is apparently the special effect called “photo illustration”. It’s not exactly appropriate for a food review, but could be cool when used properly! Now I know! 🙂
We would love it if many more bloggers joined in this fun blog hop. It will be held the second Friday of every month and run for one week. Please visit other blogs through the links below for more blooper fun!
I think it’s pretty cool! I am going to have to check for a ssetting like that on my camera.
Whoa! We wish our camera did that effect! You could also use this for the Caturday Art Blog Hop today. You can join up on my page.
Sorry I didn’t get a chance to join this up to the hop…it was a crazy weekend. I want to play with this effect more though so maybe I’ll get to do it one of these days.
Huh interesting! I wonder if mine does that. I usually have it set to auto, and have used macro some before.
I’m trying to get away from using auto all the time…but you can see what happens when I do! LOL
That is a cool effect. I think my camera has some, but I have never tried them. I must look around.
Nice blooper, very artsy.
Totally artsy!!
It’s always frustrating when the settings on the camera are not right, but this photo came out pretty cool.
That’s quite the artsy blooper! Cool effect! We joined in on this blog hop for the first time…and it won’t be our last since we have so many “whoops” photos.
I know what you mean! I just have to remember to write down the good bloopers when I see them, or after a month goes by I forget where they were…because there’s so many! 🙂
I also vote for artsy! I’ll have to check my camera settings. I don’t even know if that’s an option on mine!
Definitely artsy! I think there’s even an Instagram app that creates that effect on purpose!
I, too, vote for “artsy”. It’s actually pretty cool as photos go! I think you should print it as is and hang it on a den or bedroom wall.
I’m voting for artsy, but I’m still glad you included it as a “whoops” this month! 🙂
Always go with artsy:)
That was a very cool mistake

Sometimes bloopers can be helpful. LOL! I will try to remember to join the hop next time. ☺
Very cool looks like a Van Gogh! Love Dolly
that was a really cool whoops! love it
A happy accident.
That is a neat feature! Can’t wait to see what you do with it now that you know it exists 🙂
it looks like pop-art, I love it… and mr. warhol would like it too :o)
Bloopers can be hilarious……..Mom doesn’t take a lot of photos of me (why not?) unless I’m sound asleep and bloopers just don’t happen when I’m sleeping (thank heavens!). This actually is a very interesting photo effect so I say “wahoo” that you discovered it!
Hugs, Sammy
I actually think that’s a good plan…take all the photos when the crew is sleeping…there is way less things that can go wrong with that! 🙂
