Our drive down to Myrtle Beach for our mini-vacation was relatively uneventful which is what you want on a road trip! The route we took was pretty, especially through Virginia, even though there’s not a lot to see when you’re mostly on highways. “Auntie” Sheryl and I made it as far as Virginia the first night, and then to Myrtle Beach early evening on the second.
With two days of sight-seeing in so far, we’ve seen a lot and had a lot of fun. We have already logged over 6 miles of walking each day. Here is just a small sampling of some of things we’ve seen:
A nice view from our motel room:
There are some pretty parks along the ocean at the beach:
We love to go souvenir shopping, and of course, are always looking for the pet items (these were seen at Carolina Pottery):
We saw these adorable ducklings at Broadway at the Beach, a big complex of interesting sights, shops and restaurants.
There will be lots more to share soon; and with more people rolling in for the conference by Wednesday night, we’ll be sharing lots of photos of the dogs, cats, and other pets seen here soon!
