Most of us are used to our cats and dogs photobombing our photos. When taking some pictures of Samantha and the chicks for our recent post “Mama Cat Sam & Her Growing Chicks” it wasn’t a real surprise when for most shots Sam couldn’t be completely in or out of the photo like I wanted her to. I got more of this:
However, I did not expect the chicks to take photobombing to a whole new level by flying into the photos!
That was definitely a new one for us. 🙂
Love the pictures. I bet the chicks are all grown up now, I am so far behind…lol.
When it comes to photographing anipals, patience is more than a virtue. It’s an absolutely requirement!
Hahahaha that is awesome!! They are getting huge!
OMG. They look sooooo cute <3
Cute chicks and fun photo bomb.
Oh my gosh! They are so cuuuuute though <333
MOL! They really got into the action. 🙂
Those chicks wouldn’t have lasted one day at our house. We are much to much of a hunting family. They will soon fly the coop to the new coop!
Trust me, we’re totally ready for them to move to their coop – but the weather is not cooperating yet! We need it to be warmer.
Cricket has smelled them at the door, and they’ve seen me carrying a chick but didn’t really react. But it would probably be a different story if the chick had been flying or running around!
Do the dogs know about the chicks? Are they noisy? I can’t wait to watch them grow up!
Oh yes, they are noisy (but thank goodness not at night), but the dogs don’t seem to notice. Cricket has been sniffing at the doors, so I think she can smell them. I carried one by them at the gate the other day and they didn’t really react at all.
I usually have to bribe Bear to stand still … he runs from the camera just about every time. Gotta love that the chicks are just as busy with [apparently] full schedules 🙂
We’ve had to add some things to their cage to keep them entertained – they like to keep busy!
My biggest issue with Sam is that she won’t pick up her head and look at the camera. And since she can barely see there’s not really any way to get her to do so!
It looks like Sam didn’t want to play chicken with the chicks!
Probably a wise choice. LOL!
Oh my gosh! They are so cute. My sister’s kindergarten class just got two little chicks to raise for their school garden, so now I get to look at double the cute chick pictures! I hope hers have as much personality as yours do!
They definitely have personality! I’d like to name them at some point, but it’s so hard to tell them apart. Having only two would be much easier. 🙂
Loving it!! Those chicks are getting braver and feistier as they get bigger. So darn cute!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Ha ha, some of them have been getting to be a little too feisty lately….I think they might be in their terrible twos or something right now. 🙂
Lol…they are getting brave.
Yes, they are! They are not scared of Sam at all anymore.
A flying photobomb. What fun!
The blurred wings are good. The chicks are really cute!
Sam’s tail is very photogenic. 🙂
And that’s a good thing since she won’t often let me photograph her face – LOL!
