When I wrote the story about our cat Conrad, back in November, I mentioned how he spent all of his time sleeping on our cable box, which was in a cubby hole in our bedroom. I was frustrated he was always hiding and we couldn’t pet him more. Well, when we were moving some stuff around Hubby took that box out and cleaned it all up. Conrad has not laid in there since! I am so happy that now he spends all his time sleeping in the various dog beds around the house. He is out with everyone, even the dogs, more, and he also doesn’t even hide when company comes!

Cute! I love how my cats for the most part prefer to be hanging out with the rest of us (humans and dogs). My more shy cat sneaks away and curls up in a quiet corner for a few hours each day, but then he hangs out with us in the evenings. Our other cat is constantly out where the action is. He’s always looking for food and crumbs. He’s a bit nutty 🙂
This is my first time visiting your blog. Looks nice! I found you through Maggie’s “Oh My Dog!” blog.
Thank you, and thanks so much for coming by, Lindsay! I love Maggie’s blog.
For some reason our most recent 3 cats have been very shy. Conrad came from a shelter and was a stray so I think that’s why with him. Our two cats before that were much more outgoing and friendly. Our other cat Samantha has also been more friendly lately too….not sure what it’s all about, but we’re loving it!
That’s a wonderful breakthrough. So pleased to hear it.
Thank you….we are really enjoying it.
I am glad Conrad is feeling more at home.
It has taken him long enough! 🙂
Aww! He’s adorable! We had a cat similar to Conrad, but he was solid white and the basement was his Man Cat Cave! lol He came upstairs in the morning, but the rest of the time, he was in his lair!
Oh, thank you! He used to only make appearances when he wanted to eat, although that is actually quite often! 🙂
Conrad is gorgeous! We too are glad he is no longer hiding!
Thank you! It was really hard to get photos of him when he was hiding in his cubby, with his back to me all the time! 🙂
Glad he’s being social again…that’s funny that he’s changed his behavior like that.
Thanks, we are so glad too! I don’t know if it’s just his mellowing out in his old age or what. Sometimes cats just like to change up their routines every so often too!
That’s PAWsome a kitty on a dog bed. Happy Black n White Sunday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
No prejudices in this household! 🙂
Happy B&W Sunday to you too, Sugar!
Ha, ha, ha…I try to sleep in the cat beds sometimes and they like to lay in my beds too…I guess they are all really just community pet beds…first come first snoozes!
I think you are right, Emma, they really are community beds! Once in a while we even get a dog and a cat sharing a bed, if you can believe that!
Awww… he’s a handsome kitty! No wonder you wanted to see more of him! 🙂
Thank you!! We call him our “golden boy”.
since today’s post pertains to CATS I figured I would say how handsome Conrad is! Glad he is no longer hiding.
Love, Cody
Yay, glad I was able to get up a post for you to enjoy, Cody! 🙂
Conrad appreciates you stopping by to see him!
Sweet…Conrad is adorable and I’m glad he’s come out to join you all
Thanks, Gizmo, he really seems to be mellowing out in his old age!
