I know I’ve been whining a lot about the weather lately. I’m a New Englander through and through, and well, that’s what we do here when we’re longing for spring but Old Man Winter won’t loosen his grip on us. We whine and complain, finally stop when the weather is perfect, and then start complaining that we’re too hot by late summer. It’s just how we roll here.
With everything going on early in the year, we decided to take a break from reviews of our Pet Treater subscription boxes for a bit. Well, I should say, I decided….Luke was definitely not on board with the idea. He greeted his March box like a long lost friend.

Stuck inside once again, it was the perfect time to open up that box and see how we could entertain ourselves, and hopefully wear the K9 crew out. Hibernating a lot can make for restless dogs! Before digging in, I snapped a photo so we could share just how tightly they pack the goodies in that box, and it’s a good size box.

There were two very large toys included and I threw them out to Luke and Cricket to see which they would like to play with. After checking out both, Luke seized the Plush Puppies (by Bow-Wow Pet Products) 28” long puppy with gangly arms and squeaker. While he romped around with that, Cricket was trying to figure out what I had done with the treats that were in the box. I think she could smell the lingering scent on the toys!

Later, Luke switched over to the PetLou 18” Bite Me Bone, and I think he liked how it grunted. He really got into playing with that, and had a blast rolling around with it.
Cricket hadn’t shown any interest in the toys that day, but our mission was accomplished, because Luke wore himself right out playing with that toy!
The next day, I grabbed the camera for some more shots when Cricket surprised me by getting out the Plush Puppies toy to play with. She had fun with it in her bed, and that was when I got all the shots for our “Photobomb Friday” post last week. By the way, that puppy is one leg short right now too, but they’re still having fun with him!
The Momz did not forget that there were still treats in that box that needed to be sampled! All I had to do was round up the crew for another photo session, and one dog reported for work right away.

Wait, where’s the other taste tester?
She is completely worn out from all that toy play. Mission accomplished again! However, once she heard crinkling bags, she did roust herself enough for the photos in yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday post, where they got ready to enjoy their “Kiss Me” treat.

They also got to sample:
Dingo Market Cuts Farm Bites*. We’ve had some other treats from this line and the crew loves them, but I think they liked these even better. They are crunchy and made in the USA with real chicken. There are no artificial flavors or colors.
Exclusively Dog is another brand we love, and we’ve had the Mini Grahams* before and they were a hit. These are also made in the USA with natural ingredients. I’m saving these for some training, because I know I can break them into smaller pieces.
Pet Treater never forgets the human’s needs. This combination poo bag dispenser/flashlight from Nature’s Miracle is pretty cool! They even included the batteries! We don’t really walk after dark ourselves, but we’re going to be sure to find someone that can really use this. We love to share our goodies (well, other than the treats, say the dogs).
But I definitely have good use for the Ear Bags ear warmers from Sprigs*. When the weather is a bit warmer, but still chilly, I don’t like to wear a winter hat, except for that my ears get cold. I do have some ear muffs, but they are constantly slipping and always need adjustment. These ear bags fit right onto your ears. I must tell you, they worked even better than I expected. We did have some slightly warmer weather and these were perfect. They stayed on and kept my ears warm. They were so comfortable I barely knew they were there. They also didn’t block the sound as much as my ear muffs, and I really liked that.
Have you tried Pet Treater yet? They put such a great group of products together, and every month is a fun theme. April’s box will be “Spring into Action” and we can’t wait to see what we get to review next!
Subscriptions start at $24.99 and go down to $19.99 for a 12 month subscription, and others are available in between. The subscriptions auto renew, but you can cancel at any time. They even have a one time box for $34.99 if you want to give it a try before committing. Email a photo of your pet enjoying their goodies to social@pettreater.com and your dog could be their next PET OF THE MONTH.

Be sure to use the discount code!
For every purchase of a box, Pet Treater will donate a bed, blanket, or toy to a local shelter dog or cat. You can follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Those toys are huge! It looks like your box really wore these two out! If only ours had the same effect on Rye . . .
Someday when Rye is a little bit older…..maybe…..it will wear her out too! 🙂
There is nothing better than a box for the dogs. Anytime it arrives, it’s always the best thing ever. The loot your guys got looks amazing. Enjoy!!
A whole bunch of great stuff in there. Great review!
That looks like a jam packed box. We got some Exclusively Dog treats at Christmas. They were a hit.
Oh, Oh, I need some of those things, I think! Ear Bags ear warmers from Sprigs? I hate headbands, earmuffs, right, they never work-do these really, need to try! I just love seeing the doggies with the bigger toys, I don’t know why, but they crack me up! That bone Luke has is too funny, he is so cute with it, and wore him right out, great!
It’s especially fun watching Cricket drag the big toys down the hallway! Luke really wrestled with that bone for quite a while, I had a ton more photos of that!
Yes, the ear bags really work! I honestly thought they would probably fall off, but so far they haven’t!
Looks like a lot of fun to liven up a boring day!
Wow! There’s a lot of fun packed into that box.
My goodness, such a nice box of goodies! I can tell the fun was at your place!
That looks like a really fun subscription box! We’ve been complaining a lot about the weather, too! We’ve only had around 5 days of sunshine since October. It’s been a huge downer.
Oh, that’s the worst….no sunshine. Even when we’ve been stuck inside during frigid weather, I feel a little better if the sun is at least shining.
Wow! That box was jammed packed with goodies. Those ear bags are so cool. I wish I’d thought of that! LOL!
I know, right? People are always thinking!
Love the pix of Cricket and Luke sacked-out!! Two entirely contented, exhausted pups! Those Pet Treater boxes are a god-send for your K9 crew!
Ducky REALLY loves the bed we got with the “sample” box last October! She will sleep on the other two beds here in the living room for a little while; but she always ends up back in the nest bed, curled up and out like a light.
I’m so glad Ducky still likes her bed! Ours actually doesn’t get used too much, but we got a different one than you did. Yours is clearly better. 🙂
Such great pressies! Trust me, New Englanders don’t have a monopoly when it comes to evaluating weather conditions. It’s funny how human nature takes over when it comes to the weather. At least the dogs have cool toys to bridge the gap between lousy and great weather. Love that bone shaped toy! Too cute.
You mean we’re not the only ones that get frustrated with the weather? 🙂
I shouldn’t complain though, I’d rather have to put up with the snow than worry about tornadoes, hurricanes and all that nasty stuff. We luckily don’t see too much of that up here.
Amen, sister!
Oh boy the box looks fantastic. That will get your mind off the weather
Lily & Edward
wow that’s a treasure box… I totally love the bite me bone… I think that bone is strong enough to play with me :o)
That sounds like a box full of great stuff! When I first read the title, I thought it said “Pet Theater” (not enough coffee yet), so I was a little surprised not to see a puppet show or something, but this is even better. I have some of those ear bags and LOVE them. No more wind going straight in the ears!
A puppet show would have kept us entertained too! 🙂
