We are excited to be joining our friends at Cascadian Nomads and MyGBGVLife in announcing that June is Multiple Pet Mania Month, with month long events leading to Multiple Pets Day on June 30th!
Emma at MyGBGVLife’s family consists of three dogs and two cats, just like ours. Bethany at Cascadian Nomads has three dogs, one cat, and one bird. For the month of June we want to celebrate what life with multiple pets, and all kinds of pets, is like. There will be a blog hop, weekly giveaways, a multiple pet survey (see below), and a multiple pet photo contest (details coming soon).
At one point in our lives, my hubby and I had four dogs and four cats. Some of our family and friends thought we were crazy, and we don’t deny that we just might be! Our numbers have sadly dwindled a bit since then, and it’s difficult for me to imagine how we handled eight pets, when the five we have now seems like more than enough. Four of those pets being seniors adds further complications to our multiple pet life.
We want to know what your life with multiple pets is like too. Each week during the month of June will have a theme: Life with Multiple Pets, House Cleaning & Grooming, Feeding, and Fitness Fun. Each theme will have a giveaway that goes along with it, and we’ll be reviewing the prizes you can win. Prizes will be from K9 Bytes, PL360, Merrick, and the Umbilical Belt. There will be also be additional prizes at the end for the photo contest.
Over the month of June we will be sharing posts about our lives with multiple pets. We’re here to tell you the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, the challenges and the rewards. We hope that other bloggers will join in the hop and share their own experiences. Even those that only have one pet will want to follow along to see what the craziness is all about. Perhaps you’ve considered adding another pet to your household….you’ll be able to learn more from all the posts about how that might affect your life.
Bloggers can use the weekly themes as a guideline or inspiration, but you can post about any multiple pet subject you care to all month long; don’t forget to add your link to the hop and use the hashtag #MultiPetMania. We hope bloggers will be motivated to share multiple posts throughout the month, of course (pun intended)! Everyone, bloggers and non-bloggers, are encouraged to read all the posts, share in the comments about your own pets, and enter each giveaway (giveaways will start on Tuesdays and end the following Monday), as well as the photo contest.

That kitchen photo is classic, Jan! My four furries eat in the master bedroom and when they all race down the hall to gather for meal time, it cracks me up. Then Leo feels left out and shouts at us from the living room. What a zoo! But I wouldn’t have it any other way. We are going to have so much fun in June!
I love this idea! I completed the survey, but I had a bit of difficulty deciding on some of the answers…”black and white” answers in a colorful world are hard to come by. Have to start working on my posts.
