Momz is letting me write about the weekend mischief…..but guess what? This mischief was not done by us dogs. Nor was it done by the cats. So guess who got into mischief this weekend??? THE MOMZ DID!! Can you believe it? All us furry kids were home this weekend with Dadz, behaving ourselves, and Mom was out getting into mischief.
It all started Saturday afternoon when Mom left for a short while, and when she came back home she had our Auntie Connie with her! I love Auntie Connie, because she understands me…..she knows all I want is a little attention and that I won’t jump on her or paw at her if she just pays attention to me!

However, Mom and Auntie Connie were not home for very long before they left us all, and didn’t come back until the next day! The only good thing about that was that there was more room to stretch out on the bed that night, and I didn’t have Mommie nudging me all the time and telling me to move! Wherever Momz was, I think she must have had all the room she wanted for her legs (she’s a bed hog, if the truth be told).
I don’t know exactly where they went but there was talk of a concert, music, and the 1980’s…..whatever that is all about. And I heard that Aunties Sheryl, Lynn, and their friend Lori was also with them, and they had lots of fun. I also heard talk of a lot of “whining” (or was it “wine-ing”?). All I knows is that Cricket gets told to be quiet when she gets to whining when she wants to play ball. I don’t know if anyone was there to tell them to be quiet, but I don’t think so. But I did hear that because of all the wine-ing that was going to be going on, that’s why Mom and Auntie Connie stayed at Auntie Lynn’s house and didn’t come home until the next day at noontime.

Then they didn’t even stay home long, they said they were going to the Crafts Fair at Old Home Days, whatever that is. But guess what? When they came home Mom had a bag of treats for us!! So I guess it’s OK that they went, plus they weren’t gone very long, and then they stayed home and hung out with us (napped with us….hee hee). Then later Momz and Dadz threw the ball for Cricket. I didn’t get to play much because I’ve been limping lately, just a little bit, but enough that they say I have to “take it easy” (I hate that), and there’s talk of a possible visit to the V-E-T, which I don’t even want to think about!

Mom put this bandana on me because she said the colors were pretty, and I think it does look nice on me. Someone gave it to her at that concert place.

Things are back to normal this morning…..but Auntie Connie is gone and we wish she could have stayed longer! But Mom is not working like she usually does on Mondays, and Kobi got his walk this morning. Last week I got to go swimming (more about all that on FitDog Friday), and I hope I get to go again this week too!

I think Mom is done with her mischief for a while, she said something about “getting too old for that”. I hope I never get too old to get into mischief!!
Thanks to our Monday Mischief blog hop hosts: Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog, and My Brown Newfies!
What great mischief! Way to go MOM.
Mom’s can rock (& roll) sometimes!
Sounds like your mom had some fun mischief. Love your bandana and hope your leg is better.
Thank you! Mom is having a hard time keeping me quiet….go figure. I keep telling her I’m just fine.
You must be mistaken. Moms don’t get into mischief. Ever. EVER. I’m a mom. I should know.
I’m not sure I’m buying that, Ms Flea. 🙂
Love Sheba
What a glamorous look you have with that pretty bandana!!! Sounds like your Mom had some real fun being naughty….tee hee.
Kitty Hugs, Sammy
Thank you so much, Sammy!
I think Mom said something about maybe TOO MUCH fun! BOL
Hugs to you too! Luv, Sheba
You will have to find out what your Mommy saw.. Love your bandana and you are adorable 🙂 xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
Thank you, Mollie & Alfie! I don’t usually like to dress up but Mom has been trying to put stuff on us more so we’d get used to it, and model better.
She says they saw two bands called Night Ranger and Journey, 80’s rock bands (kinda old guys then I think…hee hee)
Sounds like your mom had some fun mischief over the weekend! You pups aren’t the only ones who like to make trouble sometimes 😉
Yeah, I guess we have to let you hoomans have some fun without us sometimes! As long as you don’t get into TOO much trouble!
Speaking of getting into mischief-I showed my overnight guests some pics I had hung on my wall, one of my dog Bear, who is passed over the rainbow bridge, when he was an adorable little puppy-and one of him and his sister Maggie and half brother Kobi when they were little (if you read Jan’s blog, you will know those were/are her dogs)-and that picture has since come up missing!!! Jan couldn’t believe how young Kobi looked, he looked more like Cricket! And so I think she stole my pic, that’s what I think!! Major mischief she got into to! ! 🙂 I know she will give it back though!
(Okay, I’m posting this anyway, but I just got to thinking I had another pile of pics we were looking at, and maybe it ended up back in there, cause she took it off the wall to look at it closer-and yup, think I found it! Oh, well, she is still a mischief maker, lol!!)
Aunt Lynn! If Mom had taken those photos, she would have just been borrowing them! But she said to remind you, she still wants copies. She said they were very precious photos and she wants to share them on the blog.
Sounds like your mom had a really good time! That’s awesome! Us moms have to get out once in awhile and have a little fun!
Yes, I think it’s good for you Moms to get out and have some fun, as long as it’s not too often!
That sounds like some fun mischief that your mom got up to. (I’m too old for much of that sorta mischief too!) I’m sorry to hear about you limping a little. I hope you take it easy (I know that’s hard!) and don’t have to go to the V-E-T!
I’m doing my best to try to show Mom and Dad that I am FINE. Anything to avoid that three letter word. They really can’t even tell where I’m limping from, so hopefully that means it’s nothing serious to worry about.
When humans start wine-ing they often get into mischief. Believe me. I KNOW. Glad your mom and your aunt had a place to crash – and I hope they had a blast. How nice that they made it up to you all by bringing you back all those toys. 🙂
We can pretty much manage to guilt Mom into bringing us home stuff without even trying. She even brought Dad home some fudge, for taking care of us!
They had lots of fun, and they are always safe about it!
That sounds like some excellent mischief! Your Mom must have had lots of fun -no wonder she was tired! It’s a good thing that sort of mischief doesn’t happen very often 🙂
Yes I think it’s good Mom got out and had some fun, but best that she doesn’t do it too often….she doesn’t handle it very well. BOL
Take it easy on your mom…human mischief is rough on them…they need lots of love and resting time afterwards!
Yes, they sure do….there is still whining about being tired going on!
So what concert did you go to?
We went to Journey and Night Ranger at the Meadowbrook in Gilford, NH. It was an awesome show!
that sure was a lot of mischief your Mom got into!! But at least it was fun mischief! Auntie Connie looks like super nice and fun pawson! Barks and licks and love, Dakota
Yeah, I guess we have to let Mom have some fun outside of playing ball with us sometimes! Auntie Connie is lots of fun, she throws the ball for us too, when they aren’t busy doing other things! Love Sheba
