Luke is here to tell you that there will be no dressing up by the K9 Crew as elves or reindeer for any Christmas photos this year. We tried, and he would have none of it. In typical Luke fashion, however, he had to make me laugh so that I couldn’t possibly be upset with him about it. I was baking some Christmas gingerbread dog cookies for the farm to sell, and thought it would be fun to get some photos of elves helping me in the kitchen. Not only did Luke refuse to keep the elf hat on his head, but he took the hat right off Cricket’s head (and ran with it) as well!

I am nothing if not persistent, and thought I’d try the reindeer ears as well, just in case he might put up with those (he did last year!) Silly me:
In further mischief he also walked off with a present I had put in a soft bag…..
…..and he destroyed an empty wrapping paper roll as well.

Yes, he’s right, I did set him up for that one. But I wanted him to run around and play with it, not eat it! 🙂
He is just the cutest little mischief maker out there, so as he asked in the video, we won’t tell Santa he was naughty, will we?Â
We won’t tell Santa, your just to darn cute for words Luke.
I love the video of Luke having a good romp with those reindeer ears.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! His joy is contagious, isn’t it? 🙂
Something tells us Luke thought those were some fun toys for him to play with. 🙂
He ignores all the nice toys I buy him, and chooses his own instead! LOL
I won’t tell 🙂
Thank you!!! 🙂
TeeHeeHee…Good job Luke!!

Thank you!! ♥
He IS the cutest little mischief maker. I love that he took Cricket’s hat off too!!!!
When Shyla arrived, we (mostly) stopped dressing up the dogs. She will put up with anything but we suspected that she was terrified inside. She will tolerate a few of my hats, which I have her model in the wintertime.
Luke is quite a character!
That he is! 🙂
He loves to wear coats and sweaters, but not anything on his head. I guess next year I’ll have to look for an ugly Christmas sweater for him instead! I do have photos of him with that elf hat on too, from a couple years ago but his expression tells me he wasn’t too happy about it. I try to keep it quick, but I guess this year he was telling me “enough is enough”!
But I’m glad for the fact that he wasn’t upset or anything this time, and just made some fun out of it instead. He totally threw me off when he stole Cricket’s hat though, it was just too cute!!
Well, you were darn good at that Luke so I’m sure that qualifies as nice!
“Nice”ly done, right? 🙂
Oh he was just having the time of his life! He was prancing like a reindeer and that tail was going a mile a minute! Loved this!
So glad you enjoyed it! Turns out he was a reindeer and didn’t even know it! LOL
BOL I feel ya Luke these hats & costumes are ridiculous 😉 Mama puts them on me and they are around my neck in no time so she quick puts them in place, holds a cookie in front of my face and snaps a pictures and then I shake my head and it’s back around my neck.
xoxo,
Matt (& Matilda)
BOL….My Mom just wasn’t fast enough for me this year! I was more prepared than I was last year!
Love, Luke
Hehehehe. Luke’s a busy boy! So much “help!” Bear loves bows – and if I protect the unused ones, he’ll rip them off wrapped presents and take off. In all honesty, I love that about him – he always knows how to me laugh despite myself 🙂
It’s pretty tough to get mad at them when they look so cute while doing these things! Our late cat Katie was a bow stealer too, and she also loved to lie on top of any presents that were under the tree!
I’m with you Luke… we will be nekked on the christmas photo, yay!!! (just me not the humans of course)
I love to play with empty tp rolls or wrapping paper… I wonder why the mama still buys toys in a store… LOL
Our Mamas aren’t always too smart, are they, Phenny! BOL
Woofs,
Luke
