WHODUNIT?
One day last weekend I was starting to prepare supper. I had washed some potatoes and carrots and left them in the colander in the kitchen sink draining while I went to my computer for a bit. As I was sitting on the porch typing I heard a distinct crunching sound coming from the direction of the kitchen. I probably yelled something like “HEY!” as I scurried into the kitchen, but when I got to just outside it this is what I saw.
She looks innocent, right? She’s just enjoying the wood stove and has nothing to do with the remnants of a carrot in that bed. Or does she?
As I round the corner into the kitchen I run into this innocent face. Or is he?
Where is the third suspect? The blonde one? She claims she was right there lying on the couch the whole time. Or was she?
Put your own detective skills to work, and tell us who you think did it! It may be easy for frequent readers, or there may be hints in other posts: searching certain words on the blog might give you a big clue. 🙂 Answer coming later this week! Have fun with it and leave your guess in the comments!

Since it was a carrot, I’d have to say Luke was the culprit. Besides, I don’t think Cricket is tall enough – even standing on her hind legs – to reach inside the sink. And Sheba “would never” be so sneaky. 🙂
You are so right about Sheba! Cricket would definitely do it if she could (though not for a carrot but maybe something else), but Sheba is our good girl. Luke….well, he needs some work! 🙂
Well having a LAB and knowing you have a mix…I’m going with Luke. I cite his tendency to counter surf, his love of carrots fresh from the garden and his height. While I’m sure Cricket didn’t say, “Don’t give me any” I don’t think she could have reached the sink. 🙂
You are right on all counts, except for about Cricket…she doesn’t eat any veggies, so she would take a pass!
Hm. I’m saying it was some Beagle handiwork. Although Luke looks sort of guilty there. 😉
I’m such a Luke fan, I’ve got to defend him and point all paws at Sheba. She’s too comfy on that couch trying to look innocent.
Well at least Luke (I’m assuming it was Luke) picked something healthy.
Of course, there is that viral video of the beagle climbing up on the counter to get herself a snack. So who knows? 🙂
When in doubt….. blame LUKE! hahaha!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Luke looks the guiltiest and I’m pretty sure he had motive and access. Did he have a decent alibi??
Luke has the most guilty look!
We think it was a joint effort! 🙂
Luke.
Either of my dogs would be absolutely delighted to find carrot in their beds! They’d think Santa Paws had come early!
I think it was Luke. I don’t know why. Maybe that look in his face 🙂 Maybe they were all in it together!!
LOL those eyes say it all!
I think Ernie better get over here and start representing them.
Mom was enlightened this morning using our new security camera. Someone, not me, is in some deep, hot water! I will be posting two reviews of it the first half of December. You won’t have any questions as to who did it, or how if you catch them on film!
I hate to rat Luke out, but doesn’t he dig up carrots? Call a lawyer Luke, because I think you have trouble! BOL!
Not sure who did it. Maybe some team work?
Sneaky, sneaky!
That’s what’s good about having a sissy or brother you always have someone else to blame
Lily & Edward
I would smell for potato and carrot breath before making an accusation,
Cricket? Beagle girls have a faible for colorful things :o)
LOL I would guess Luke bit what do I know…guess I should search.
I say Sheba because she is the tallest!!
My guess is that it’s Luke given his love of veggies and his long legs to help him reach things in a sink 🙂 Plus, I feel like he and Barley have the same mischievous streak and Bar’s been a nut lately!
