One tough part of moving to our new home was having to give up our big fenced in yard, temporarily anyway. We have a 20 x 20 dog pen here though, and we are making the best of it! The crew is still getting to play ball and have some fun even if our space is so much more limited right now. (Plus we still have acres and acres of land yet to explore!).

Come back on Friday for the final FitDog Friday blog hop, and we’ll tell you a little bit more about how we’re having fun in our smaller space for now, as well as taking a look back at some of our FDF posts over the years!
Thank you to BlogPaws for hosting the Wordless Wednesday blog hop! Please visit other blogs through the links below!
Of course they are happy, as long as they are with you they are happy.
They look like they like the run. 🙂
Well it’s only temporary right? They look like they’re adjusting well to the move.
They’ve got a tunnel and each other. What else do they need?
They can find fun wherever they are!! Happy exploring!!
The exploring part would be what I was looking forward to!
I know with my guys, as long as we are with them, they do not care if the yard is big or small, just as long as their peeps are there.
Looking forward to hearing how you’ll are doing.
You are right…they are happy as long as we’re with them. I just wish the pen was connected to the house where we could see them. They were so used to going in and out as they pleased, and I know Sheba especially misses that. We’re working on rectifying it as soon as we can though…so that we can at least see out in to the dog pen, and let them in and out at will (by adding a door on that end of the house).
It is nice they have so such room to explore with you too!
They seems to be having fun in their smaller romping space.
They look like they’re doing just fine even in the smaller enclosure.
Oh boy, are the pups going to have fun exploring all those acres with you!
When we moved, I gave up a fenced yard for 3 acres of open. I do wish I could convince the Man to even fence 20 by 20 so Hailey could run free!
After having a fenced yard, we just wouldn’t do it any other way. We got so used to just opening the door and letting them go. Now we have to take them out on leashes (all except Sheba who can be trusted off leash) to get to the pen. I honestly think it’s harder on us humans than the dogs! Our first major project here is putting a door in where the pen is (which was the plan all along regardless of where the dog pen ended up – we wanted to have a view of that part of the yard).
As long as the pups still get to exercise & you’re creative in how you’re using the smaller space, they should be happy 😉
Glad to hear your move has gone well. You don’t need a ton of space to have great Playtime! We’ll have the pleasure of moving this Summer – I’m dreading it.
Love & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Good luck to you with your move! It’s not so bad….LOL…I can say that now that it’s over!
“It’s not the size of the yard – it’s what you do with it that counts” (A quote from Cricket!) Have a great week!
I love it!! 🙂
They look pretty happy! I know it must be a bummer going from a big fenced yard to a smaller one but I’m sure they are fine! It’s the quality time spent with the family that matters the most! <3
That’s really true. As long as we are out there playing with them, they’re happy no matter how much space they have!
They look as happy as can be!!!
Looks like that tongue might also have a good coating of dirt/grass, which is always a sign of good times! Dogs are great at adapting to what they’ve got. 🙂 Glad you guys are all moved!
It’s so good to be finally settling in here. There’s still a lot of work ahead, but that’s OK…it will be fun work!
Moving is always so stressful, but at least you have a good place to play! Cricket and my Lulu look a lot alike!

They look like the are doing well! Dogs are so great at adapting, aren’t they? (usually anyway!)
I think they do better than we humans do! 🙂
Looks like you still have lots of room in your little area
Snorts,
Lily & Edward
They look like they think it’s ok. Think how thrilled they will be when you can build more fence though.
That’s about the size of our back yard! Love Dolly
Smaller space lets them totally bond with the new yard…..then when it “expands” – OHHHH LA LA!!!!!
Hugs, Sammy
That will truly be an exciting day! 🙂
Cricket loves your new place it seems she even kissed the ground when I look on her tongue :o)
I’m sure the small space would get old after a bit, but for now with everything new I’m sure it works out just fine.
It’s probably going to get old to the humans before the dogs! We’ve had the contractor here though, so everything is at least in the works.
