This blurry mess is what you can end up with when you’re trying to capture a moment with your pets, but you’re too lazy to get up and turn on a light (or get a better camera) and don’t realize the flash on your phone is shut off. Not to mention, getting extraneous objects like someone’s slippers out of the shot might be prudent!
In the photographer’s defense:ย some of you probably already know that if you do get up and move, you run the risk of your pet following you, and losing the shot anyway. That’s my excuse, but in this case, Sheba was pretty focused on her destruction, so she might have just stayed right there!
Oh, and that is not someone’s shoe she’s destroying, that’s the Blue Suede Shoe dog toy* we received in one of our Pet Treater boxes. So it’s OK!

Thank you to Theย Lazy Pit Bull for hosting the #PetBloggerBloopers blog hop. Our hostess is under the weather so the blog hop linky is not available yet, but we will add it in when we can get it, so you can find your way to more blooper fun.
Yeah mom has a lot of pictures like that. She just bought this really cool flash attachment to her camera so this doesn’t happen. Love Dolly
That is something I need to get as well!
Bloopers like that one equal about 50% of all my photos, but they’re priceless.
Sometimes the bloopers bring the biggest smiles!
Haha I thought it was a shoe being destroyed.
Ever since our golden retriever Moses, a shoe lover, we learned to keep all shoes in closets or other rooms. The slippers in the photo? Once in a while I’ll kick them off somewhere, and sure enough when I go back to get them, one is missing. At least Luke is pretty good about not chewing them up though, he just likes to carry them around! ๐
oh yes don’t want to get up and ruin the good shot! lol just like at my house.
I’ve had many moments like this too!
Somedog make quick work of that toy!
Very cute blooper.
MOL! The mom has a ton of photos like this!
Someone shoe is having fun!
That’s a great lazy photographer picture BOL
Lily & Edward
It is impossible to get up and fetch your camera to catch them being adorable. They always stop. LOL!
If I only had a nickel for every time it happens! LOL
It ended up being the perfect shot for a blooper picture ๐ Your sandals look very comfy, btw!
I know what you mean – I have to grab those “special” shots of Daisy without drawing attention to myself by moving so I don’t distract her from her antics. At that point I don’t really care if the shot isn’t set up right, I just want to preserve the moment! ๐ I don’t feel that pet blogging pics need to be perfect in any way, personally I’m using them to create an online scrapbook of Daisy’s life for our family. And that includes all the stuff that’s out of place in our world! ๐
Sometimes I’ll go through my photos, and intend to delete the worst of them, but I find that I can’t! You are right, even if it’s not the best picture it still captures a special moment in time. โฅ
what a pawsome toy! that are dogtoy makers who know what we pups really want… shoe-time all the time :o)
They really loved that toy (and still play with what’s left of it now). I think I’m going to have to get them another one for Christmas!
LOL! Sometimes bloopers can be funny. Every once in awhile I will get a photo of Ruby where she has a really funny expression on her face – not one that I would post, but I save it because it makes me giggle.
But the good thing is you realize what is wrong with the photo. So many post such photos on line and think they are just fine, but they really belong in a blooper post!
