Yes, we know it’s late for Spring training, but hey, we don’t get to go to Florida to do ours! Our “Spring training” simply means making some adjustments to the usual ball/fetch playing routines (which is a year round sport here!). This week that meant getting out our tunnel to add a little more fun to the games.
You might have seen Luke “helping” me with that on Monday. We did have a few people who guessed correctly that Luke was hoarding a ball inside the tunnel, keeping it away from his sister Cricket! That is his favorite game.

It is so nice to see the grass starting to turn green and, of course, these two having such a good time together. We have a lot more fun and exercise ahead of us this spring and summer!
Cricket & Luke look like they’re having the best time! I wonder if I could get my D-O-G minion to go in a tunnel. She hasn’t been trained to do much. Can old doggies learn new tricks? I have a scrunchy tunnel like that, but I don’t do trainings. I run through it when I play with Mom & my feather wand. Mew Mew & purrs!
Yes, old doggies CAN learn new tricks…give it a try with your minion! Our kitty Samantha has a tunnel like yours, but she never used it much; and she definitely does not do trainings either! Maybe I need to entice her with a feather wand. Oh, never mind, she lost interest in her feather wand as well. đ
These two look like they’re having so much fun- how happy are all of us that the weather is turning into spring and summer is around the corner. It’s so funny, I bought this tunnel after seeing it in one of the blogs and none of my dogs would go through it in the house. So now I need to take it outdoors – did you train them to go through?
Yes, I did train them, but only a little bit. With Cricket, all I had to do was throw her ball in there! I think when we first got it, my hubby went on one end and me the other and we coaxed them through. Throwing treats in there can work too, but I could only do that with one at a time so didn’t use that as much. Once they get the hang of it, they just like to run through it for the fun of it!
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Cute pics btw đ
They sure have fun with the tunnel!
I love how much your crew loves the tunnel–especially Luke hiding inside of it! Neither of my girls has ever been still inside the tunnel (which I guess is good since that’s not very effective on an agility course), so I love seeing that picture of Luke!
I wonder if any dog has ever just stopped in the tunnel and laid down in the middle of agility? LOL
I think Luke likes it sometimes, not just as a place to hide, but because it’s warm and toasty in there when the sun is out. đ
Great photo series. Luke looks very muscular for so early in spring.
Oh, thanks for noticing! Our boy keeps himself in good shape year round! đ
I guess no mouse in there! Lol what great fun, I enjoy seeing cricket getting out and having fun!
It’s fun seeing these two playing together!
I think since you had snow a couple of weeks ago that you entitled to be late for spring training! They look like they are loving it too
Gosh, I thought that snow was never going to go away!! The dogs do like the snow, but I think they’re happy with the smells and fun of spring too!
Tunnel fun is always exciting, inside or out!
Those pics are all so cute! Gotta love that sheer beagle determination! They’re stubborn little cuties.
And I guessed right. Yay. Where do I pick up my prize?? đ
You’re going to have to settle for the satisfaction of being right (& brilliant) on this one. LOL!
WE HAVE BUDS! THE TREES, THE TREES HAVE BUDS! AND FLOWERS, THE DAFFIDOLS ARE OUT.
I had serious concerns that Mother Nature could get her sh*t together and get us out of winter.
I’m thinking I need to get a tunnel for my dogs, I think Delilah would like that.
It’s so exciting, isn’t it??? We have buds and daffodils too, and I even saw some leaves are starting to open up too!!! However, it hasn’t stopped raining for the last two days, but that can only help things along, right?
I was concerned about Mother Nature as well….I felt like Luke’s Snow Mountain was never going to go away!
I hope you get Delilah a tunnel, I think she would love it too!
We think you are suppose to run through the tunnel BOL
Lily & Edward
To each his own, right guys? BOL!
So darn cute, both of them! Mom makes the prefect mascot for this team. ????
That looks like fun for everyone.
What fun! đ
Looks like fun, but we like anything that has to do with running through tunnels!
You know, our late Lab mix Maggie hated going under anything, like a bridge, or through a tunnel (in the car or boat). I wonder if she would have liked one of these – if it would have seemed different to her? Anyway, I’m just glad this crew enjoys it so much!
