No matter how much fun I have on my two day holiday shopping trip with “the girls”, and trust me, we had A LOT of fun – it’s always good to be back in our comfy home with the Dadz and the crew. Sleeping in my own bed Saturday night then snuggling with Luke on the couch Sunday morning is definitely not overrated.

I did pretty well at taking a break this time – I started to take some photos of fun pet stuff I saw on our trip for the blog, but after these two seen below I actually mostly forgot all about it for the rest of my trip. I needed a little break and did better than I thought I would at taking one!

The crew stayed in the Dadz’ capable hands, and I was so thrilled when I got home to find out that Cricket had been outside playing ball quite a bit over the long weekend! I had watched her playing on Thanksgiving morning while preparing food to take to my brother’s, and then again on Sunday morning, when Dadz also took some photos for us. She was no worse for wear after playing either!

It’s going to take me at least all week to get caught up on things now. My kitchen counter is covered with shopping bags, and the hallway is lined with boxes of Christmas decorations to be put up. I’ll be catching up with my online friends slowly over the next few days while working my way through the chaos around the house.
We have a few exciting things coming up on the blog over the next few weeks: our monthly Pet Treater review (wow, was there some great stuff this month!), our “favorite things” post – which is our simplified version of a gift guide, plus two other reviews of some new products and hopefully a giveaway to go with at least one. We’ll also have our positive pet training blog hop post with our report on Luke’s progress with crate training. I hope to put together health reports on both Cricket’s arthritis and Samantha’s hypertension; those will be more informative posts to hopefully help other families dealing with these conditions in their own pets.
Wow, December is going to be a busy month – but there’s nothing new about that, is there? What is your month looking like – is it full of holiday plans, or just the same old crazy busy routines?
Cricket looks so happy to be out playing ball.
The Dadz did a good job with the camera! I’m glad you got a munch needed break on your trip and that Cricket is feeling up to playing a little more ball!
That’s great! I hope it lasts too. Love her spunk!
It is always nice to be home. Glad you had fun on your get away. I black Friday shopping to and got a bunch of deals for the dogs.
I’m glad you enjoyed your break and it’s good to see Cricket having fun.
Go Cricket, go!
Just one day away causes a major backup around here. Multiple days is always hard to dig out from under.
Then add computer issues on Monday morning to the backup and we’re really behind the 8 ball. We’ll just keep digging though! 🙂
Way to go Cricket, good for you!
I love to get away too, but like you – when it’s time to come home, I am anxious because I miss my boys! I am slowly getting my Christmas decorations up – but I mean “slowly.” My goal is to be finished by the end of the week.
I am doing it the same way – slowly – and I have the same goal as you do too!
Glad the server issue got resolved!
And, of course, I’m delighted to see Cricket was having fun playing with her Dadz! Super glad she didn’t seem any worse for the wear, either.
And it even went quicker than they said – amazing!
The other great thing about having Cricket out there playing is that it rejuvenated Sheba and Luke too. They really do need their team captain!
Yay for Cricket playing ball! Good job Dad! 🙂
I don’t know why it is that he motivates her! She has been playing with me the last couple of days too though, so maybe she is just really feeling that much better now. Just hope it lasts.
