We are wishing everyone in America a quiet 4th of July, and hoping you enjoy your holiday. We had some distant booms around here last night, but closing the windows and turning on the fan seemed to drown out the noise well enough so all of us could go to sleep. We know it can be a tough holiday for a lot of pets (and vets), so we hope yours stays as quiet as possible as well.
We’ll be taking the day off from the blog tomorrow – we’ve been enjoying our long weekend, with lots of ball to play, walks to take, and projects for the humans around the house. We had to get through a lot of thunderstorms and rain Saturday afternoon but it’s been nice ever since.Β
We’ll be back on Wednesday with our Poof Pet Activity Tracker review and the results of our “Who’s the Most Active Dog?” contest. We also have some new additions to the farm to share with you later this week (hint: if you check out our Facebook page you can get a preview).
I hope the humans received plenty of four-legged supervision for those home projects, and that everyone worked in a little R&R.
We did manage to get in some R&R too, and don’t worry, no project goes unsupervised around here (I even had some two legged supervision of the chicken kind – LOL).
I hope your weekend stayed quiet!
The town fireworks are tonight, but we are far enough away for them to only be distant booms.
I’m hoping people aren’t celebrating this coming weekend.
I hope they’re done with it too – it’s ridiculous how long some people have to carry it on! We only had distant booms on the 4th too. Luke did hear them and hide out for a bit, but Cricket slept right through them.
Have a great 4th
Love all the pix! Too bad you can’t put tiny bandannas on the chickens – they’d look so cute!!
Don’t put it past me to try it someday – LOL!
Love the pets with their 4th of July bandanas! Here’s hoping for a quiet 4th-but the last 3 days have been constant fireworks nearby here, so poor Nina has been hiding downstairs alot of the time..
Oh no, poor Nina! So far it hasn’t been bad here; fingers crossed it stays that way through tonight.
You all look great! Happy 4th!
Hope you all enjoy a wonderful holiday–preferably without too many boom booms. π
Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
Enjoy your 4th of July!
Wishing you a safe and enjoyable 4th holiday. We’re inside ourselves this year too. Hopes for a quiet one, but we’re prepared for the opposite should it occur.
I will be adding Dr. Harvey’s Relax to Bentley’s food until the fireworks stop. We have two fireworks stands close to our home and lots of ka-booms!
Ugh, poor Bentley. I really need to try that Dr. Harvey’s with Luke (more for thunderstorms).
Happy 4th, I hope it’s a quiet one.
We’ve been pretty lucky so far; we’ve only had one night of it. Hopefully that holds through tonight!
Happy Independence Day from all of us! Have a fun 4th!!!
Wishing you the best 4th of July!!!! Love all those beautiful pictures!!! Have lots of fun together:)
Have a safe and Happy 4th! Love your photos!
Enjoy your long weekend! Happy, Safe 4th to all of you!!
We had a bunch of t-storms last night that seemed to come on the heels of each other. But the girls did fine. And our porch flooded again (as usual), so after we get some sun to dry it out a little more, I guess I’ll be out there sweeping and shoveling mud. Oh joy.
Oh wonderful. We got almost 3 inches of rain in about 4 different storms Saturday afternoon. Luke spent a lot of time in our closet, and Cricket at my feet. But one thing I’m grateful for is that this house blocks sounds a lot better than our old one; so it could have been worse.
Have a safe, fun, and happy Fourth!
you look great and I wish you a wonderful 4th of july… also for your chickens, it’s their furst 4th of july party… like mine LOL
Did you wear a festive bandana, Phenny? I thought maybe I should put some on the chickens too. π
You guys sure look patriotic in your bandanas! Nice job. Happy 4th to the whole Wag N’ Woof gang. ????????
