Only the Poof Pet Activity Tracker will be able to tell us for sure!
At least two summers ago, when we were still at our old house and our golden Sheba was still with us, I wanted to do a competition like this with the dogs. I had a phone app and later an activity tracker for myself to track my own exercise, but I always wondered who of the three dogs really got the most exercise. I couldn’t come up with an easy way to track theirs though….other than the thought of following each of them around myself to try to count their steps with my own.

They were all very active back then, and frankly, even the thought of doing that wore me out! Fast forward to the present, and yes, they have activity trackers for dogs! I still often wonder between Cricket and Luke who really gets the most exercise. They are so different in many ways.

I will keep the Rafflecopters open for a week, and once Poof has determined who is more active, we will announce a winner and tell you more about how this fun device and accompanying phone app has worked for us. We’ll also be offering a discount code in case you would like to get one for your dog!
So now, meet the K-9 Crew contenders!
Cricket, AKA “Jelly Bean” – a 12-year-old beagle, stubborn, focused, and determined. She is very active for her age, despite arthritis in both her back knees. Cricket is obsessed with playing ball and fetches pretty much daily. She also likes to walk and watch for wildlife in our yard. She is known to go running out the door wildly barking, and then spend a lot of time with her nose to the ground all around the yard.

Luke, AKA “Nosy Bean” – a 3-year-old Labrador retriever mix, full of youthful enthusiasm. Luke loves the outdoors, catching the ball and then playing keep away, but he is not much for chasing it more than once or bringing it back. He also enjoys walking and watching for wildlife, and in the evenings, he sometimes likes to have a good zoomie, or play with a toy in the house, romping up and down the hallway after it. He’s also known to follow me around the house wherever I go.

Does Luke’s more constant activity match up to Cricket’s hard playing style? I honestly don’t know, and I’m as curious as you to see how this all plays out!
BTW, I have always had those nicknames for these two (don’t ask me why, but it goes back to when I used to call our beagle Kobi “Kobi Bean”), so it just worked out great that we got the Bean Tracker to try for both of them. Poof also makes another one called the “Pea”, we’ll tell you more about that in our review.
So, cast your votes below, and stay tuned for the results. We’ll keep it open through next Friday, so results will be the following week. I started tracking them yesterday morning with a nice walk for both, and we’ll track for about a week or so and see who gets the best result.
Who does more of this? Poof tracks sleep as well, though that won’t be part of our competition. I’ll tell you that Cricket is heard snoring most evenings….but is that only because she played so much harder during the day? Maybe they’re just resting up to get ready for the competition!
Contest rules: please fill out only one Rafflecopter – they will be checked! One name from the winning dog’s Rafflecopter will be randomly selected to win the prize package. E-mail addresses are collected for winning purposes only, and never shared. This giveaway is open worldwide, 18 years of age and older only, and void where prohibited.

Luke is my vote.
Our vote is for Luke, good luck! Love Dolly
Thank you, Dolly!!
Love, Luke ♥
What a fun idea!
I can’t wait to see how this plays out! I’m sure Rye would beat Barley even with Barley’s 3+ miles of walking every day. Rye had me running the equivalent of a mile and a quarter the last two weeks in agility class! That puppy never sits still 🙂
I think sometimes the running in circles can add up to more than the planned straight-line walks!
Oops I accidentally picked both, i will go for cricket
Thanks for letting me know! 🙂
I’ve had both Beagles and a lab mix. My lab mix, Muffie, has to be the most energetic dog I’ve ever had. I suspect she had some Border Collie in her, and it looks like Luke might, too. So, I’m picking Luke.
Our late beagle Kobi was such the opposite of Cricket. When our Lab mix Maggie was alive, she was the only one that could get him moving. Kobi wouldn’t have even wanted to enter the competition…he was much happier on the couch. 🙂
I’m betting on Luke but I’m loving that a 12-yr old is giving him a run for his money!
wow, hard to decide. Cricket is older but seems to have lots of energy. however, Luke has that retriever in him, and is much younger.
Cricket is definitely very energetic for her age! But as energetic as a young Lab? Hmmmm….I don’t know. Can’t wait to find out though! 🙂
Tough choice, but I’m voting for Luke.
Cricket and Luke, don’t try to cheat by putting your bean trackers on the chickens or squirrels. ????
Ahhahaha, that was a good one, Edie! Don’t give them any ideas! 😉
I’m voting for cricket!
I can’t wait to see who the winner was! I know it wasn’t me!!!
This is going to be an interesting competition!
We love you both! The easy answer would say Luke … but we know Cricket and that girl doesn’t let anything get in her way … especially when it comes to her ball!
Yup, you know Cricket! But will that be enough? 🙂
Way too hard to pick one of those two, so I picked one and went with the other. Haha
ha-ha, sounds like some nascar pool strategy you used there, K!
That’s what I thought too…good plan, K!
Oh boy, I love a good competition!
Since we’re not active mom is not going to see much
Lily & Edward
Best of luck to the two contenders. I have my suspicions as to who is the busier ‘bean.’ And happy weekend!
Good luck… I placed a bet and I bet the result is a surprise :O)
Good luck to both of you! I think the resultz may be a surprise. The important thing, though, is to have fun!
Good luck you two. The results may surprise you!
