I don’t know about my fellow bloggers, but I often have several posts on my “to do” list and can’t always get to them all. Or I’m throwing together a “this ‘n that” post and I have too much this ‘n that for one post! I’m going to try to catch up on some of that today, and hope it doesn’t get too long! I’m joining in the brand new blog hop hosted by Two Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog, since this is an anything goes hop, which fits perfectly!
THANKS DUE
Kol’s Notes hosted the Advent Calendar for Dog Lovers at Christmas (along with a long list of excellent co-hosts) and we were lucky to win a gift pack from K9 Bytes. Look at all the great stuff we got!
These treats were a huge hit and are long gone now! Cheesy Apple Cinnamon Crunchies are as yummy as they sound!
I was able to choose the pattern for the collar and leash set, and it was a tough decision because there were so many great ones to select from. The reason no one is modeling the collar yet is because I’m hoping for Luke to grow into it (I know he will)!
The dogs just loved this colorful fleece toy. There is a squeaky ball inside. Of course, Sheba’s goal was to get the ball out of there, which she did. But they still play tug of war with the fleece! They have some other cute fleece toys over there, and I think we’ll be ordering some soon.
We also won this adorable book from Cat Chat with Caren & Cody. Thank you to Caren and Cody and the publisher for this fun giveaway!
Samantha still hasn’t forgiven me for telling everyone she is overweight. Once we sit down and read the whole book, we’ll give a thorough review of it. We have flipped through and it is very cute and funny. For example, here’s an exercise tip from the book: “In a pinch, bedroom curtains will work in lieu of access to a rock climbing wall.” Hmmm….I’m not sure I want Sam to read the whole book, because she might be plotting some sort of revenge!
We also won these great treats from PetsMove for participating in their Move Your Mutt Health & Fitness Expo. If you missed out, you can still go over there and watch the many great informational videos, and also see videos that some of the participants shared! There is always something fun going on over at PetsMove, so sign up if you haven’t yet! It’s great motivation for getting out and exercising with your dogs. Thanks for the treats….Sheba can really use the hip and joint ones, and Kobi has had a bit of an upset belly off and on lately, so those tummy ones will be great for him!
LAST CHANCE
Speaking of giveaways: There are only three days left in my Natural Stride giveaway. If your dog has joint pain or an injury, go on over and read my post and enter the giveaway!
There is also a Rafflecopter giveaway from Chewy.com in my post from Tuesday. That one is on through the end of the month.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
I am very excited to announce that we will be co-hosting our first blog hop! We are joining Oz the Terrier and Roxy the Traveling Dog in the first official WOOF Support blog hop. WOOF stands for “Working Out Our Fears”. It is an online support group for reactive dogs and their owners. Many of us have “reactive” or fearful dogs and Oz realized that there was a real need for support from others who are dealing with similar issues. Not only are we having the first monthly blog hop starting Thursday, February 13th, but there is also a Facebook page which you can join.
Nice post! Looks like you got some great goodies lately. We love getting new kinds of treats, but they sometimes disappear before I have a chance to photograph them and do a post!
Thank you! The dogs do get mad at me if I make them wait to try the new treats until I can take pictures. 🙂
That is some serious loot! I love the leash & collar set. The fleece toy also looks like fun! Hadn’t heard about your new hop yet, so interesting and I can’t wait to read up on everyone’s posts. Duke used to be very easily scared and reactive, but he’s gotten much better over the time we’ve had him!
That is so great that Duke has gotten better! Maybe you can share some of the things you did to help him, if it was anything other than just giving him a wonderful home! 🙂
Thanks for joining Barks and Bytes blog hop, I can’t wait to see Luke modeling the new collar and leash.
I think I can come up with a post or two for the reactive dog blog hop (it just might be a day late, sure to Barks and Bytes) because Delilah can definitely be reactive at times. 🙁
I think your new hop is great and I hope it works out well for you too.
I look forward to your contributions to our new hop!
I just clicked on the FB page. I’m so excited about this initiative, and I definitely plan on taking part in the blog hop!!
Oh yay, I’m so glad you are going to participate in this Maggie, I know you will have lots of good information to share with us.
Wow…you always seem to score well in the giveaways! You just might be able to make a career out of it. 🙂
I think that collar is going to look adorable on Luke when he grows into it too.
Oh, and I don’t think I want my cats reading that book either by the sounds of it. LOL!
Ha ha…if only I could do so well playing the lottery or something!
Thanks, I can’t wait to see Luke in the collar but I don’t want to rush him, he’s growing fast enough as it is!
Yes, the last thing we really need is to give those cats any more ideas! 🙂
Wow – what a haul! Congrats on all the winnings!
Thanks for the info on the new hop. If I have time, I’m planning to participate. (Trying to cut back a bit on the blogging time this year. I love blogging – but it’s such a huge time commitment, isn’t it?!) Anyway, even if I don’t participate, I’ll be checking out the other posts.
Thanks, Jackie!
I hope you can participate in the hop, but believe me, I understand about the time commitment. I feel like I’m always behind on everything, and just can’t catch up. It’s hard to find the balance for everything!
Great dawg, look at all that stuff you won/received! I bet that book is hilarious…your poor “fat” cat. Thanks for informing everyone about the hop too! I am so glad you said “Yes!” to being a co-host.
Happy Weekend!
Oz
I’m so excited about the new hop, Oz, and so glad you asked me to co-host. Yes, poor Sam, like it’s not bad enough we’ve had her on a diet anyway! 🙂
Have a great weekend too!
Look at all that awesome stuff! Shiner loves the CloudStar treats. Just read about the #WOOFSupport blog hop over at Oz’s place. Will have to mark my calendar.
I don’t think we’ve ever tried any of the CloudStar treats, they really look great.
Congrats on the winnings, and on co hosting the new blog hop!
Thank you!!
Thanks so much for joining Barks and Bytes. 🙂 You sure won a ton of great stuff. I like the colorful fleece toys. Bet brown dawgs would too…lol. The new hop sounds great. I don’t really have a reactive dog though so not sure I will have anything to contribute but I will read of course. 🙂
Those fleece toys really are cute and the material is holding up well to all the tug of war!
We appreciate you planning to come by and read the reactive dog posts even though you don’t have one. 🙂
you know what? I totally forgot you won that book!! lol!!!! So glad you like it! Isn’t it just adorable?
LOL….glad I could remind you, Caren! Thanks again! It is just too cute, and there is a lot more to it than I thought there would be too!
Ah great hop! I co hostex for the first time ever today on a different hop with ruckus the eskie!
I’m looking forward to the WOOF hop also!
Congrats on your big winnings!!!!
((Husky hugz frum da pack))
“Love is being owned by a husky”
Thank you! I will definitely join in on your and Ruckus’ hop sometimes too. There’s so many hops out there, so I usually try to spread myself around! LOL
Some awesome winnings there! I think the reactive dog hop is a good idea, looking forward to seeing what comes up there!
We do get pretty lucky sometimes! I think the new hop will have a lot of great information and sharing.
