Any idea what Cricket is doing here? It might not be what you think!
(Pssst….you can find the answer to this mystery by clicking here).
Thank you to Sugar the Golden Retriever and Dachshund Nola for hosting the Black and White Sunday blog hop. Please visit them and other blogs through the links below.
Squirrels? Birds? If it was Storm, that would be the answer. 🙂
Nope, neither one! I’ll be posting the answer tomorrow!
Hmmmm my first thought would be that she is after a squirrel or something, but you said it’s not what we think, so…….maybe she sees the leas blowing???
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Oh, good thought, Jenna! Those trees do tend to hold on to their leaves right into the winter.
I will reveal the answer later this week!
There’s food up there? Bird feeder maybe?
Good guess! We don’t keep bird feeders inside the dog yard though, because we have dogs who think that bird seed does make a very good snack!
Ooh, did a squirrel steal her ball? 🙂
BTW, I’m really impressed that even your header is b&w.
LOL….It’s far more likely that either her brother or sister stole her ball. You are on the right track though!
Thanks for noticing my header! Some might say I have an obsessive need for things to match. 🙂
A toy, treat or critter in the tree.
Close, but not quite!
Chasing a butterfly perhaps?
That’s a pretty good guess, but even though we’ve had a warm winter mostly I don’t think there are any around right now. 🙂
Of course …. SQUIRREL! Woofs to the gang. Happy Sunday. Golden Woofs
Well, you would think….but not the case here! Thank you, and have a great week!!
You mean there’s not a squirrel up there? Love Dolly
Not that we know of anyway!
Well, I would say she’s after a squirrel, but if it’s not what I think then that’s probably wrong!
You made the most logical and correct conclusion, Ann!
Is she trying to stretch & scratch like a kitty cat? Silly doggy!
It wouldn’t be the first time Cricket was accused of acting like a cat!
I have a few pics like that, too. It usually means there’s a squirrel or other varmint up there.
–Wags (and purrs) from Life with Dogs and Cats.
Squirrels and other varmints seem to know when to vacate the yard around here!
Thinking about a good ole fashion tree climb on a Sunday huh?
Ha, good one, Cathy, Cricket has been known to climb trees! But only when she’s after one thing…..
It is our classic squirrel/lizard hunting stance. Hmmmmm. ☺
It’s hunting….of a sort.
Oh good job!! I just know that you chased a squirrel up there because that is what I would do.
Well, that’s what most normal dogs would do, but Cricket is far from normal. BOL!
I bet he sees a squirrel.
That’s a good bet, but not the case here! 🙂
licking sap from the tree??
That’s a pretty good thought, and Luke does like to chew the bark off the trees, so you never know!
While it looks like tree kissing, we guess trying to get the nasty squirrel that is up there!
I don’t think squirrels dare come in our yard!
Whatever she is doing she is looking cute doing it.
She does have that going for her! 🙂
I’m guessing her ball is stuck up there? Lol
That would have been my guess too, Sheryl-but since Jan says it may not be what we think, I am curious if it is something else!
Well, it might not be what most people think, but you girls have a little more inside info! Sheryl is on the right track, but the ball wasn’t stuck in the tree.
When I was at the park for the Solstice with the dogs and two friends’ kids, one of the kids asked why Wilhelm was sniffing the trees. I said it was because the trees smell good and the kids and I proceeded to have a very nice time sniffing the trees… which really do smell wonderful, right Cricket?
Hmmm….it never occurred to me to try sniffing the trees too! 🙂 She does think they smell wonderful, but there’s a certain reason for that!
Sniffing the good sniffs ? xx
She is sniffing for something….so you’re on the right track, Bev! xo
Going for a squirrel would be the obvious answer…is the cat in the tree, maybe?
Good guess, but our cats stay indoors (other than the occasional escape)!
