We’ve had some strange weather here in New England just this last week. Wednesday we saw light snow flying, and yesterday it was 60 degrees! Today we’ll be lucky to see 40 degrees. Yesterday we took advantage of what might be our last really nice day. I was planting flower bulbs in our memorial garden, and the dogs played fetch for almost 2 hours. It was warm enough for my hubby to fill the pool so they could have one last chance to cool off in it before it gets put up for the winter.

I hope to share some more action shots (in color) later this week!
Many thanks to our blog hop host Dachshund Nola. Please visit her site and others through the links below for more black & white fun!
Great pictures. Love the color splashes!
Thank you, and thanks for coming by! 🙂
Beautiful pictures! Yesterday was OK after two days of rain and wind, but I would not call it nice. Glad you got a nice day to enjoy the pool.
Thank you! Actually by later in the day it had clouded up and cooled off a bit!
Love those shots 🙂 we have had rain, rain and super strong winds xxooxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Thank you, Mollie & Alfie! It’s been pretty dry here this fall….probably means we’re in for lots of snow this winter!
Everytime I see dogs with a mini pool, I feel the urge to get one too! Love to see them playing in the water ^ ^
They really do love the pool, and it lets them play more in the summer too if they have a way to cool off.
Our older beagle, however, will not go anywhere near the pool!
You guys look like you are having lots of fun! It is starting to turn cold here too:(
We forgot to empty the pool, and it’s frozen over now! 🙂
What a fun day you had!
Compare it to a day spent batting around a catnip mouse!
Wow you are being brave in the water! Its been cold in the mornings but the afternoons are nice so if it lasts thats great! Love Dolly
It hasn’t lasted…..it got quite cold the day after that, and has been since. Though we might get another warm day or two later this week!
Looks like fun! We had a bit of an Indian summer and now the weather is getting back to its natural state. Rain and more rain!
We had one day of rain, and that was it! It’s been a pretty dry fall here.
LOVE these photos, the ball looks so cool in them! It is only in the 40s here in Michigan today, but 50 tomorrow!
Thanks, Caren. I imagine we’ll be seeing more than just snow flurries soon enough!
What a fun day for everyone. Nothing better than the whole family being outside together.
We’ve been so busy lately going here and there on weekends, that is was very nice to have a family day at home!
Wish I could splash around in the pool too, but here I would turn into a dogsickle!!! Happy Sunday!!!
Sheba jumped in it today…..the surface was covered with ice but she didn’t seem to care! LOL (she had just been on a walk so I think she was warmed up)
Looks like a lot of fun was had…Love Cricket hopping out of the pool and the little touches of color you added Happy Sunday!
Thank you, Gizmo. Cricket never gets tired of jumping in and out of the pool!
Looks like you had great weather for playing outside. I love the pop of red.
Thank you! The sun didn’t last all day, but it was nice while it did. Thank you for coming by!
Great way to enjoy what might be our last warm day – but hopefully not, as I’ve been enjoying our unseasonably warm weather here too, just a bit south of you!
Love how you did the black and white of everything except the ball. Nick did that once of a shot of Meadow, everything was in gray tones except her collar. It really made it pop. 🙂
We may still have some more warm days in store here and there, as crazy as the weather is around here!
I love to do the splash of color, it does add a little extra something!
We are in the same boat. Savoring the last of the good days. Love the pics!
Thank you! Yes, I do think we are running out of good days, so we need to enjoy them while they last!
