Our cucumber harvest is really outdoing itself this year! We pick about this many every other day:
We’ve been selling some in our little farmstand and at my shop, and I’m trying to find time to make some refrigerator pickles and maybe a cucumber salad. When we start to get overloaded, we give the older ones to the farm birds, they love them (they prefer it if we cut them in half for them!). Sorry no photo!
I mentioned in a previous post that cucumbers are one of the few vegetables Luke does not like. However, as it turns out, he just needs a little incentive:

You just can’t go wrong with Ranch, can you? BOL
Nice haul!
They finally slowed down a little bit, but we’re still overloaded! π
I love cucumbers! We grew them once when we lived out in the country and had a ton of them. I made so many pickles. Hahaha!
If only I had the time to make pickles!!
Dip on cucumbers…..that’s like cheese on broccoli….of course it tastes better.
Some vegetables just need that enhancement! π
I am SO jealous! I have to try growing cukes when we have more sun at our new place π Shyla loves most veggies but not cukes. Maybe she need an incentive too!
Luke absolutely recommends it! π
LOL…Dip makes everything better!
That’s the truth!!
Oh yeah…always go for the dip!
It never fails to help!! π
Looks like a bumper crop! Yeah a little incentive goes a long way.
They just keep on coming too! We’ve never had them do so well….must be all the chicken poop fertilizer is finally working! LOL
The cucumbers all look so great. We love them in our salads so much. Luke, you are just to funny needing some dip for your taste test of the cucumber. Thanks for sharing the wondeful photos. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
Thank you!!
The peeps would love those, us cats are afraid of them! Enjoy that dipped yum Luke!
You silly cats! Bet you would like the dip too though….LOL
Ooooh, cukes!! Love em!! Wish I could buy some from you! Pickles? Meh, except the “bread and butter” pickles.
Give Luke some belly rubs and kisses for me. And a ranch-dipped cuke from Ducky. β€οΈπΎ
Hubby likes the bread and butter pickles too. The refrigerator ones are like a cross between bread and butter and dill, a little sweet and a little tart.
Nice looking cukes. We made some pickles two weeks ago. I wish you lived closer, we would have bought yours instead of the ones at the farm stand in town. We grew some, but only enough for salads.
Well, I’m glad you at least found some farm fresh ones!
I agree with Luke. Ranch dip can make a cucumber most delicious. You know how I love seeing Luke.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Smooches to Luke. β₯
His Dad is the bad influence on him – I try to keep mine low calorie. But when that dip is in front of me, I can’t resist either! π
dig in Luke! we have a fig ocean here.. no idea what to do with it LOL
I wouldn’t know what to do with those either!! π
It’s getting to that time of year where people keep trying to give Mom veggies like zucchini or cucumbers, but she doesn’t like either one. You enjoy your crop!
Has your Mom ever tried the farm fresh version of these veggies? She might come to like them! π
Yay, Luke! Cucs are so yummy but I’ve never had them dipped before!
Hope your Mom lets you try some that way, Molly!
xo
Luke
That is a good crop!
It’s amazing what a bit of dip will do, right Luke?
They are still coming too! Dip never hurts, says Luke! π
