You might remember some of my photographs of Luke in some different red sweaters and jackets this winter. We won them in a giveaway from Pawsitively Pets and Petsmart. I also told you that my hubby doesn’t like me dressing up the dogs. Luke has sadly outgrown all of them now, so I was gathering them together to give to a friend of mine who has a small dog (she promised me photos of Benji in them also). I looked at one that Luke hadn’t worn and just knew it would look cute on Cricket.
Since I’ve never dressed her up other than a fancy collar or bandana, she was resistant but let me put it on her. Then she stood perfectly still and wouldn’t move! Eventually she did though. Now, I was right, wasn’t I? Doesn’t she look adorable?
Unfortunately her little brother started picking on her! I ended up taking it off because he wouldn’t leave her alone. Typical siblings.

Thank you to BlogPaws for hosting the (mostly) Wordless Wednesday blog hop!
That sweater looks cute on Cricket and I think Luke is jealous!
I think you’re right….he wants to be the cute one!! lol
It does look adorable on her! She’s a good sport! My dog did the same thing when I first put his dog vest on him. He refused to move! Poor guy. He did the same thing when I put boots on his paws one winter.
She was better about it then I thought she would be. I tried boots on her once too, and never got beyond the first one….she did not like that AT ALL. Her beagle brother used to be really good about having his boots put on, but he hated anything else.
She looks absolutely adorable, Miss Jan!

Oz
Thank you, Oz!!
I’m also not a fan of dressing dogs just for the sake of dressing them. But even I have to admit Cricket looked adorable in her sweater.
I think it’s funny that Luke picked on her. When my first dog Christie was recovering from spaying surgery, her sister, Agatha, used to help her out of the shirt we put on her to protect her stitches. What is it about some dogs?
Maybe that’s what Luke was really doing then, trying to help her out of it!
That is the cutest sweater…and it looks great on Cricket. 🙂
Cricket thanks you!! 🙂
I’ve have always loved beagles in red! It’s totally their color! She looks adorable. Our beag didn’t like to wear clothes either, but when we lived in Canada, we thought she might get cold so we got her this little sweatshirt looking thing. She looked SO cute in it. Like a little football player or something She hated it. I think she wore it once. 🙂
I know, the red is so adorable on her! I might try it again and see how she does. Kobi hated having anything put on him, even a harness, so I never would have tried it with him!
The internet would not be nearly as entertaining if it weren’t for dogs wearing clothes.
Ha ha, you are so right, Jan!
Cricket looks adorable plus!! I think Luke was jealous of his sister’s new clothes. Bark More, Growl Less Barking from the Bayou!
You could be right. Before that he was the only one that got to dress up!
She looks adorable in that red sweater! I say tell Luke to back off and let her enjoy it!
Next time I do it, I’ll be sure to put one on him at the same time! Now that I’ve seen how cute she is, I definitely want to do it more! 🙂
Siblings are there to pick on you know! Neither of the dogs mind clothes at all and they don’t care if one is wearing clothes and the other isn’t.
Yes, I do agree that’s what siblings are for! Though Cricket didn’t pick on Luke when he was wearing a sweater!
I bet she was warm ‘n’ toasty in that sweater though!
It’s definitely much needed around here lately!
Oh, that’s adorable on her! We haven’t yet taken to dressing Chewy, but I’m sure I will soon. 🙂
Thanks! Just a little raincoat or something won’t hurt him! 🙂
Aw, Cricket looked super cute in that Minnie sweater! 🙂 Too bad her brother was bugging her about it!
Those darn brothers! She never bugged him when he had his on. 🙂
Aside from photos we don’t wear clothes either, this winter was an exception with Bailie being so young and such bitter cold. The sweater does look good on Cricket.
Thanks, Emma. Cricket does get cold when it’s really cold out, though most of the time she’s active enough it doesn’t bother her. But Luke was definitely cold, so I’m glad we had things for him.
Such a cute sweater, and it really “pops” against the snow.
I know, it really stands out! I think it’s the perfect winter color.
Very cute!
Thank you!
Super CUTE! LOVE it! Happy Wednesday. Golden Woofs
Thank you, Sugar!! Hope you had a great WW too.
I think Cricket looks great, but what a little pest Luke was being. LOL
Ha, typical little brother, right?! He does really pester the girls sometimes. Cricket gets crabby when he’s worn her out from playing and she wants to take a nap and he’s jumping on her head. LOL
They are so cute when they get their very first coat, she’ll end up loving it 🙂
I want to get both her and Luke raincoats, something that doesn’t have to go over their heads…which is almost impossible with a puppy. Cricket was much easier than Luke!
I think Cricket looks so adorable in red and Minnie! Happy WW!!
Thanks! Happy WW to you too!
Very beauwooowoooootiful in red!
Thank you-woo, Ku!!!
The red is perfect!! Super cute.
Thanks! I may have to get her some more to see what other colors look good on her!
You were definitely right!!!!! Absolutely adorable!!!!
I love that collage, I used that one on St. Paddy’s Day also! haha!
Happy Wordless Wednesday!!! Hope you have a pawsome day!!!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Thanks!! I knew I saw that collage somewhere and liked it! Happy Wordless Wednesday to you too!
Aww that sweater fits her perfectly how cute. My wife loves to put these on our dash hounds.
The smaller dogs look so cute dressed up!
I love it , she looks adorable 🙂 xxxoxxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
Thanks, you two!! xxxxooooo
I have to dress all three or the one dressed become a target- not quite as literally because I don’t have anything so red! 😉
🙂 It did occur to me afterwards that maybe it would have been better if Luke had a sweater on also. He’s growing so fast though, I don’t want to get him anything new quite yet!
